Denver's 'terrible' defense wasnt so bad

All season we heard how Denver's defense was terrible

...and how Jack Del Rio couldn't coach...

I guess that wasn't true.

Short six five starters from the start of year.,,  they held SD and NE to less than 20 points In playoff games

...using a few backups and rookies

.....actually 4 good defensive games in a row

Their run d has been solid all year. That will be a big plus in the superbowl no matter who they play

I was very happy for Champ....Bailey...

....It came down to him..he had to start..he had to play

...and the old boy was good..

Biggest game of his career

Aside from Peyton, Champ is the 2nd reason I'm rooting for the Broncos. It's nice to see the old, all around great players win at least one. I just wish poor Tony Gonzalez could have managed one at some point.

If they can defend a mobile QB unlike Brady and Rivers who don't move

Pryor, Vick, and if you call Alex Smith a mobile QB, they've beaten them but our Luck is a rare breed. :) Ultimately, it boils down to teams taking care if the ball outdoors

Surprisingly great in the first half of recent games.

I still wish they'd quit going away from what is working and playing that stupid, prevent nothing defense that gives up TD's every three minutes in the second half of games. It lets teams right back in it.

Still, gotta give the D credit on a few fourth down stops that helped seal it today. The offense put the nail in the coffin in both playoff games with game winning first downs.

Isnt that true....

...He came back solely to go to the Bowl..and the season blew up on him...

Kinda wish he'd give it another try

Their run d has been top 10 throughout the season. Just a ton of injuries in their secondary all year.

They lost Wolfe and Vickerson in the line..

Chris Harris and Rahim Moore in secondary and Von Miller....due to a bad knee and good weed

That doesn't count Champ, who missed 10 games..

I;m glad they're not facing an offense powerhouse in the Super Bowl

WIlson was running around like a decapitated chicken today. I think Denver might be able to get a great win out of this one.
