Final 8 QB's

I have done a little research, but this is just my opinion. I feel that the final 8 QB's to play this weekend are the best array.....top to bottom.....of QB's that we have ever seen at this spot in the playoffs. (in no particular order)

Peyton Manning

Tom Brady

Drew Brees

Phillip Rivers

Andrew Luck

Cam Newton

Russell Wilson

Colin Kaepernick

You say no particular order, but thats the exact order I would put them in.

One of the best final 8 I've ever seen if you ask me.

If Aaron Rodgers was in instead of Kap, then it would be something else.

Oh come now, 2006 had a really good final eight QBs:

Peyton Manning

Tom Brady

Philip Rivers

Drew Brees

Hasselbeck

McNair

McNabb

Grossman

If it wasn't for Grossman, it looked really good.

Yup, everyone but Grossman has at least 3 probowls. And guys who have less than 5 probowls (Hasselbeck, McNair, and Grossman) all played in the superbowl at some point. Very good group.

I have enjoyed the playoffs so much this first weekend - best games in my memory, all of them.

It's been fun...let's hope both our teams win...so we get another home playoff game.

The funny thing is: Brady, Manning, Brees and Rivers were still there then, too

This group is better.

    • Lol, not the stat I want a young QB being a leader in. Not very pleased with the coaching staff. I'd rather they figure out how to run the ball.
    • I think Paye has been fantastic as well and Im really hoping he isnt hurt too bad.   Latu was really good in the first game also. He has been close to quite a few sacks. I think if he got more snaps he would just get more sacks. Hopefully he can improve his edge setting enough he gets on the field more. I agree, he is a special pass rusher.    The DL has been great at applying pressure so far this year, minus Green Bay of course. Its hard to rush the passer when its all run and quick passing.
    • Whats the status on Paye?  The other injuries?
    • Colts D will make Justin Fields look like an All Pro    Steelers win by 10
    • Like Willis, Fields is a mobile QB, which I think opens up the run game a bit more.    PIT also has Arthur Smith as OC. When he was the OC in TEN with Tannehill starting, he put 93 pts in 3 games (31 ppg) against the Colts. The game where DeFo missed, TEN put up 45 pts.    Then last year with Heinecke at QB, ATL put up 29 pts.   So basically 30 ppg in 4 games over 5 year against IND. For whatever reason, Smith seems to have the defense's number. And Tomlin is just a great HC with a great defense.   I think PIT will win 20-13. But I hope they can pull one out here.   I didn't realize that 3 of the first 4 games were at home. With PIT being an AFC team, this is very much a need-to-win. After this game, the Colts will play 8 of their last 13 on the road. And with how they looked in GB, that doesn't bode well.
