atapcl
@ColtsAuth_Kyle: According to a quick search, players on the Military/Reserve list can be activated at any time. While on the list, they are NOT paid. How is he suppose to earn a living if he is not paid?
atapcl
Does Boyett get paid while he is on the non football injury list? Can he remain on that list all season?
atapcl
Any particular reason you're keeping four tight ends? I don't think our 4th is worthy of a roster spot, and I only expect us to keep him if Allen and Fleener still aren't ready to play. Just curious what your reasoning is...If we keep only 1 FB then a 4th TE could be a backup FB. Jones to me has outplayed Hughes.
Superman
Does Boyett get paid while he is on the non football injury list? Can he remain on that list all season? Yes, he gets paid. If I understand correctly, no, he can't remain on that list all season. If he's not activated by Week 8, he gets put on IR.

Hoosiernsavga
I like this style from Grigson. Sign guys with high talent, but currently are injured, give them a year off to rehab, and try them next year. Some may view it as a waste of a pick, but the reality is, most of your 5th and below rounders never contribute in season 1. By doing this, you are more or less grabbing players that you can red shirt and hope that their talent shines when they are healthy. It's a good strategy, IMO. Hope this works out well for Boyett. I agree, after trading our 2nd rd pick for V.Davis. I like to think that a healthy Chapman could definiyely be worthy of filling that draft choice this season.I really like Boyett if its this season or next i just hope he can get 100%. If they think he's ready to go by week 1 then I think Matthews will be the final cut. If he won't be then maybe they put him on the PUP list. And I really didn't want to put Ijalana...I'd much rather they keep him and cut Linkenbach but I don't think that will happen. We could keep both if they only keep 7 DL but I think they'll keep 8 DL and 9 OL.
buccolts
Would you rather have him over Vaughn? To me, they look equally bad in coverage. But Vaughn has experience as a starter. Hmm, rookie bad in coverage vs. veteran still bad in coverage...........Still thinking.

You want Ijalana or Matthews? you are correct, I was counting Brazill. That's kind of a tough call...I think Matthews gives us more right now but I don't think his ceiling is very high whereas Ijalana could theoretically have a much higher ceiling but will likely still take time to develop. However, we have far more and better depth on the DL than OL so I think I'll take Ijalana back.

And all it took was a little prodding. ;) Your list looks a lot like mine. Except, I just compared the two, and notice that you only kept 6 DL and 8 LB, while I kept 7 and 9. So I counted all your cuts and keeps, and I think you only have 51. I'm not sure who of the italics you're cutting or keeping. Doesn't really matter. I'm sure none of us will get this right. But the main difference between our lists is that I'm keeping Mario Harvey, and you're not.
ponyboy
I think Kerwynn Williams will be cut, not signed by another team, and then signed to the Colts PS. This to me is an easy cut and keeps one of the predicted harder cuts on the roster.
jameszeigler834
And he is a rookie that happens to rookies you cant expect them to come out and shut down every WR they face as a rookie cause its not going to happen but Vaughn isn't good I have seen nothing from him that decides he is better than Price. jameszeigler834
the whole team played a bad game against the bills week 1 of preseason you know it and I know it but since then the defense has been lights out and Price has been a big second half part of that in the second half of games. Nah, the guys in italics would have been keepers...that's from my first post where I put the guys in italics that I thought the final 6 cuts would come from. I liked Harvey in the Browns game. Thing is I like him better at ILB than OLB though his ability to possibly play both would be helpful. I would actually prefer to cut Linkenbach and keep Harvey but that's not what I think will happen. Here's the list again, I cleaned it up. chrisfarley
IT's amazing we are down to 75 hungry players, all salivating over a starting spot and some just over making the team. It's also amazing that today represents the last of the pre-season games, and the last time some players will say hi to guys next to or right across from them in the locker room. A distant faded memory their current friends will be in a year --- perhaps on the enemy side taking abuse and punishment from one another as time progresses. The next cuts will be brutal, feelings hurt, parents and friends to be called, girlfriends crying, on to the next chapter in their lives......perhaps another grueling training camp next year if no interest exists, perhaps it's on to the permanent career outside of football.... whatever the case, it's a long haul from the final ticks of the clock at Baltimore last year to getting to this point. For fans, it's having friends over for the game, going to a pub to watch one, tailgating, good excuses for a guys or gals night out or both......I think we have the smartest female football fans in the country!!! .... doing our fantasy football gear up this weekend, And Peyton, yea wow, Peyton coming to town...what a thrill that will be, bittersweet, full of emotion LOS will be .... wow, another year awaits us, let's enjoy and later remember all of these wonderful feelings of anxiety, nervousness, anticipation, and joy as we await the horseshoes rushing out onto the field. Goosebumps, here we come.
