This might be my favorite regular season ever

I don't care what happens in the playoffs I am so proud of this team.  Honestly to go from 2-14 to 11-5 improve the record by 9 games!  Over come everything they did with Pagano and win games the way they did I am so excited for our future.  I can't say it enough I am proud of this team and this team and this season is exactly what we needed after last year and the off-season we had.  I really think while I wouldn't wish it on Pagano or anyone for that matter the Pagano thing helped heal this fanbase because it gave us something we could all rally around after the Peyton thing.  This is just one of those special seasons that will live forever.

I'm sorry, really random question.. but, I was at the game today and they played a song (about 2 or 3 times) that basically just whispered a word repeatedly (sounded like awesome... awesome... awesome... or hustle... hustle... hustle...) I've been looking on google on night and can't find what song it is. I know it's really not much to go on but does ANYONE have any idea what song i'm referring to and know the name of it? it's killing me.

"Thunderstruck" by AC/DC.

You were hearing "thunder."

Yeah, but have you seen Luck's completion %, his passer rating and his TD - INT ratio? Sheesh, how disappointing really.....

Yep, just like that Dunleavy article that said we have the worst D. Yeah, right, the one that makes stops when we need them to, that one??? :)

Stats and numbers only go so far, cant measure heart and clutch play with a team.

Been run over for 350, yeah, we will make a stop on 4th & 1. 3rd and 23, yeah, we will convert it and move on :). A bunch of 3rd and longs in the Dolphins game, no problem!!! The list goes on...I am with you on the fact that numbers can be misleading.

Indeed sir, indeed!

Staying with friends in NY, so we watched Red Zone. First game I've missed this year. Was the line any better at pass protection. Or was it Benny Hill time again.

The line was helped out by some good play calling with Luck completing several throws to hot reads and intermediate stuff, just what we were clamoring for. :)

The plays I hated were the ones where they asked Luck to block for Ballard for a run play going towards the sidelines. It was called twice. I was thinking "what the heck are you thinking there, BA?"

I don't know if Luck was really asked to block that as Luck recognized that play was being blown up and was just trying to get out there and help save something.  Honestly I thought Luck played it well he got in the guys way without really putting himself at risk to take a major hit.

Easily one of the best seasons I've seen.  Of course the SB run is up there as well as Manning's 49 TD year.  This one is just something else.  I wouldn't be surprised if we make a nice playoff run with the way things are going.  But, of course I won't be disappointed even if we lose early.  Big things are brewing in Indy.

I think out of all the people who have contributed to this great and magical season, Jim irsay deserves an apology from the entire fan base, espn, and anyone else who doubted him.

When he released manning and a lot of other fan favorites, he was called everything from a dunce to incompetent. Some even claimed if it was not for his father, he wouldn't have a job. And then we drafted luck instead of trading the picks for rg3 and people marked that day as the beginning of the end of the Indianapolis colts. People left for Denver and some people just plain left. Some people stayed but vowed they would not support the colts until irsay was gone.

Now look, after being projected to not even win 3 games, after the stones were thrown, after the mocking of the colts and the praising of the broncos and redskins, here we are in the playoffs during a year no one expected to do anything.

And the only man who saw it before any of us witnessed it was Jim irsay. Bravo Jim, well done.

2009 was my favorite season up to week 16 of that year.... but this season has been incredible. Absolutely my favorite!

I agree, 2009 was magical up until week 16, then it got magical again in the playoffs until the Saints cheated.

Cant beat Super Bowl year, and that amazing AFCCG win.

This year has been very tough at times, so dramatic! But I love it.

I agree this has to be the best regular season! Who would ever thought we would be going to the playoffs this year? I thought we would get 3 or 4 wins that is it. It would be still a good season. But I don't think anyone thought we would be where we are now.  Its been a long time since we saw a team play with all heart and rally around their coach. If this was Caldwell at the helm, or the Polians still here. I don't think  the team would rally like they did with Coach Pagano. That is how much love they have with Coach Pagano, and how much they respect him.I did have a good feeling when we cleaned house, it was time for a change and I think even Reggie wanted change just how he has said some stuff. I wonder where are those people that were calling out Mr. Irsay? Mr. Irsay was right all along. I love this team and I think this has to be my favorite team  or one of my favorite teams so far. This team has heart, this team rallied around their coach they were Chuck Strong the danced in the locker room when their coach was back. I can't wait to see more fun years to come with this new era. I love this team and Thank you Mr. Irsay!

    • I gotta say you make arguments that you’d never accept from your students because they’re so superficial.      So saying Ballard has been mediocre to bad is tissue paper thin.  Why hasn’t Irsay fired this mediocre to bad GM?  Because he signed off on what Ballard did each year in real time, not after the fact.   Irsay knows Ballard has an eye for talent.  And as Ballard freely admitted in January, the Colts haven’t had more success because he failed to get the QB right.  These aren’t excuses, but it IS badly needed context — which you’d realize if you weren’t always looking for new ways to hate on CB.      As to what you and Moose “supposedly said”  there’s a simple way to verify.  Go to the Day 2 draft thread of Friday April 26.  It was between 3a and 4 my time when I saw it.  I believe it was recent.  Just add 2-3 hours depending on your time zone and you can see your conversation with Moose.   What was so astonishing, what makes me “prattle on” as you put it is how you two ever thought you were right?!?   Given your career choice you jumped to conclusions I’d like to think you’d never accept from your students.   Why you thought Ballard didn’t know more?  Why you thought you two knew better?   Ballard not only knows more, he knows dramatically more.  As I said in another post, he shared the tip of the iceberg.  He doesn’t share the part of the iceberg that you can’t see.  The 90 percent.  The absence of curiosity is stunning given your occupation.    Now, at the bottom of your post you brought up a new line of attack on me and I have no idea what you’re talking about?   I’m not an optimist?   Since when?  Based on what?   In my 12 years here, only 1-2 posters have ever made that claim.   So what are you talking about?     Finally….   You can stop calling me Sir.  It’s normally said with respect.  You don’t respect me at all.   I’ve extended olive branches publicly and privately, and both have been rejected.  Your choice.  So calling me sir is intended as an insult.   It’s old and boring.   Move on.   I don’t know why you “enjoy engaging with me”.   You take a beating.  But if that’s what you’re in to, be my guest.    Sorry this went so long….
    • He loves you, you just don't know it (sarcasm)
    • Cubs actually won one - beat the Giants finally.
    • Jared, put $50 on the Lakers to win it all. They are getting +4000 odds, you would win $2000, if you lose, you lose just $50. Hear me out, those odds will drop bigtime shortly because I think the Lakers will make a huge move to bolster their roster.    LeBron wins his 5th tying Magic and Kobe, Lakers tie Boston with 18. Perfect ending because LeBron looks like a hero + he just beat Kareem's record too.
    • So….  You’ve been absent 7-10 days (more?) and you’re back looking to start not one, but two fights!  Okie-dokie!      If you want to call me names — fine.  I’d simply respond that my knowledge is counter-balanced by those who THINK they know a lot, but clearly don’t.   On to your other post.  That one is longer, and so will be my response.
