Shayne Skov

Recommended Posts

Why do you think he fell? Maybe because he is overrated!

No, He was rated as a 3rd-4th round prospect...He fell because of multiple knee surgeries and not being able to participate at the combine.....Not to mention he gets knocked back upon contact at times and is limited to a 2 down Linebacker

I mean it wouldn't hurt to give him a shot on the PS would it??? I remember a lot of people on here had him as our 2nd or 3rd in their mocks, and he was projected as a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

He's been scouted and worked out by several teams. He couldn't stick with the Niners. It's not like no one knows who or what he is. Anyone projecting him to go in the middle of the draft was obviously off the mark.

By the way, the Niners drafted Chris Borland, a guy I didn't think was fast enough to stick in the NFL. He's done pretty well so far. They also had Skov, who is bigger and stronger and technically has more to his game than Borland, yet Borland got drafted in the third round and is still on the team. Skov, on the other hand, went undrafted, and couldn't stay on their practice squad, nor could he stay on the Bucs practice squad (one of the three worst teams in the league).

So I'm fine with passing on Skov, personally.

Indy's ILB's are FAR superior to Skov.     We don't want SS trying to cover any TE let alone Gronk coming up,

great college player,....       had bad luck with injuries...

Indy is fine without.

Shayne Skov he should be on a roster 2-3 round prospect in 2014 fell significantly and he cost nothing

This guy "pre" injury was a top tier LB.     But football IS a BUSINESS.     and Skov just broke down.    And it is sad.

Stanford has pumped out A LOT of guys that are really making it in the NFL...        and there are also A LOT who "should" have made it.    This BIZ is not an exact science.   As much as "some" try to make it seem so.......

Harbaugh started something really good at Stanford.       NOW this is Shaw's first "true" cycle of his dudes...

Michigan is waiting Jim.....      or Jon.....   heheheheee

Don't be surprised to see the next Michigan HC being the highest paid in all of college FB.         They have the cheez and they cannot afford to miss AGAIN.

But maybe they can...    bwahahhaw;wwayyyy       I'm a BUCKEYE.      BUT, Michigan needs to be good for football in general.

they do have the badest * helmet in the history of head gear.

I liked Skov going into that draft more than most on here did.  I wouldn't mind at all bringing him in and putting him on the PS if he's back to full health, but that was one of the biggest issues...his knees.  I think he could be a similar type of player as Studebaker with a possibly higher ceiling if he could stay healthy.
