I think he would be great value like Austin Collie was in 2009. Sticky hands, great slot candidate, IMO. Bigger body for a possession wideout, which we suddenly have few of. Wayne is our best possession wideout and after him, it will have to be our TEs, everyone else is a speedster. NewColtsFan Posted December 14, 2012 Share Posted December 14, 2012 I'm sure Swope is a fine player, but I'd only be interested in him if could find him in the 6th or 7th round, I and don't think that's going to happen. I suspect we're going to go heavy for defense in the draft, and if we spend a pick on offense, it needs to be for an OL, not a WR, and a possession WR at that. He's suffered some injuries but seems to bounce back everytime. They've already got chemistry, so i hope we take a flyer on him after we're done signing some of the other free agents. Chris Owusu was a senior with Andrew Luck. He went un-drafted. But, he was signed as a FA by the 49ers. However, when he was released, he was grabbed by Tampa Bay. I believe he's still on their practice squad. Chris is very fast. But, he has several 'issues'.... first, he got his clock cleaned in 3 straight games. Two of them led to concussions, and it was a shock that the 3rd didn't as well. Second, while he's got 4.5 speed, he's got 5.5 hands. I don't think he'd be a good fit for the Colts.
