coltsin06
Need to start getting this guy more carries. He's clearly a better back than Sermon and had nearly twice as many rushing yards on less than half the attempts. 8 carries for 51 yards for Goodson and 18 carries for 29 yards for Sermon. At the very least he should be promoted to the #2 running back behind JT and give him 20-25% of the carries on gameday to give JT a breather. What you guys think? 3
Solid84
We just need better RBs in general. JT is great when he's on the field, but he's unreliable. I hope we pick up a good one in the draft this off season. Preferable someone who does something different than run up the gut... 1

One of those guys we should've spent a little extra to keep.

richard pallo
JT is a difference maker. Sermon and Goodson are just adequate backs. We could use a better no. 2 back.
Restinpeacesweetchloe
He has way more burst and isn’t as indecisive as Sermon.

Colts fans are still biased against him for his 4th and 1 drop vs Texans last year but yeah, he’s definitely a more decisive back than Sermon, especially for going outside the tackles.
AustralianColt
This is what life is all about. He said last year after the drop vs Texans it wouldn’t happen to him again and is making the most of his opportunity. Happy for the guy and for the record he should be RB1 when Taylor is out and RB2 when Taylor is healthy.
Hawkeyecolt
Goodson should definitely be ahead of Sermon. I don’t care who the back is the running game suffers with Flacco out there running this type of offense.
holeymoley99
Goodson is a very good young back, better then several #2's out there and better then a couple starters (Jerome Ford in Clev comes to mind).
Orioles22
I've always liked Goodson. He seems to be the most explosive back we have. I'd like to see him back up Taylor and get 7-8 carries a game.
HP Colt
Goodson is definitely the best running back behind Taylor. Sermon is not the answer when Taylor can’t go.
lollygagger8
Goodson 8/51 (6.4 avg) Sermon 18/29 (1.6 avg) I hope Goodson gets the start next time JT is out
JMichael557
Goodson is the better back except for pass protection which is still a critical skill.
Creekside
For perspective, Goodson had one run to the left that gained 33 yards. His other 7 carries were a 2.6 yd average. It's not talked about much, but Fries was having a pro-bowl year. He is going to be missed.

He got what was there, several times them met him in the backfield and he still managed to get back to line of scrimmage or eek out a yard or 2. lollygagger8
I will say I don't like the one run Goodson had up the middle that he just put his head down and was ramming into the back of the O-Line. TN's outside contain broke down and it looked like he could've bounced off and broke it outside but his head was down and he wasn't looking. 40 minutes ago, Creekside said: For perspective, Goodson had one run to the left that gained 33 yards. But on the other hand, Sermon had zero break away runs.
