Id say you’re correct.  He didn’t even start until about midway through the season.  
 

They’ll work Latu in, no need to wear him out early.  Guys coming out of college aren’t used to the long NFL season.

He needs to be above 50%

I believe Verse had 70% snaps

His snaps paid off too

Definitely needs to be at 50%. I like Lewis, but I thought immediately after the game that he played too many snaps and looked absolutely gassed. I felt like Dayo and Latu needed more snaps.  I wonder if Dayo’s PFF grade against the run would be better if he played more outside and less inside

I mean if they were stopping the run better he would’ve had more snaps. 🤷‍♂️

He’s a rookie on a very deep defensive line, especially at end, where the other team ran A LOT.  if anything I am surprised he played that much.  More importantly than how much he played he made his presence felt when he was in there drawing a couple of false starts, being held a couple of times and being in on the jailbreak sack but just didn’t win the race to the QB.  Not bad for a first outing against a really good left tackle.  Like Freeney and Mathis before him his snaps will go up the more experience he gets and the more sacks he gets.

Dear God….   It’s only week one.  Latu will have plenty of time to play more.   This will happen.   It’s too soon to be talking about words like unacceptable.
