The first game of the 2024 NFL season (the Eagles against an unnamed team)  is set to be streamed exclusively on Peacock. What do you think about exclusive streaming on pay channels?

I hate it. People are still suffering money wise from inflation, and streaming used to be an alternative, but now it’s just as expensive to have all of these services to the point we’ll have to switch back to cable just to save money.

The consumer just never wins…

Guess I won't be watching.

I will just follow it on ESPN's game thread play by play via internet. That is my go too now days when a game isn't on a local channel or ESPN/NFL Network. Regarding the Colts, I never have to worry about a game not being on because it will be shown here on a local channel regardless of it being on Peacock or NFL Network Channel. I have the NFL Channel anyway.

As a wrestling and IndyCar fan I have to say I love Peacock and it’s also one of the cheaper streaming services out there.  I’ve found it great value for the money.

Yeah I have a friend that loves wrestling so he got Peacock. haha

I'm just not interested in trying to chase the NFL plan of trying to squeeze more money out of us.

That’s fine and I can get that but I am just saying how I feel about peacock in general not one word about defending the NFL putting games exclusively on a streaming service.  I can see how that upsets fans but so did putting MNF on cable and Thursday Night on the NFL network originally and then Amazon prime.  As someone who doesn’t have either I just deal with not watching the games unless it’s the Colts and they are available in my local market for free.  That’s just me though.  I can understand why others don’t like it.

Yep. I have what I need with XFinity. I have ESPN, ESPN 2, NFL Network, Cubs Channel, Pacers Channel, TBS, TNT, and the local channels being CBS 4, ABC 6, Fox 11, WTHR 13. I have a good deal but pay enough. If a game isn't on one of those channels that I want to see regarding Pro Football, Pro Basketball, or Pro Baseball, I will just get on the internet and follow it on the ESPN game thread.

TBS is nice to have during the College tournament. They show a few games on that channel. Cubs were on TBS one night for some reason as well.
