LOL. You messed it up Shobby. We were supposed to make a surprise announcement. :Yikes:

Yes, the Colts have traded down to #48. It is the Chris Ballard influence.

How do you all like your draft classes?

The Texans draft fell exactly the way I thought it would.

I knew I would get one of the two prime-time LT's with the 3rd pick.  I knew that one of the Ohio St WR's would be available with my 2nd first round pick.  And I was pretty sure that Desmond Ridder would be available at 37.  So far, I'm happy.  I've got two 3rd round picks (68 and 80), and I've got my eye on about 6 guys who may fall to those spots.

Hopefully the Seahawks will not grab the player.

Seems like many wanted Ridder.

I’m really happy with Jets so far. It was between Thibodeaux and Sauce at 4 if I had stayed but I was able to trade back to 9 and still get one of them. Williams was my #1 wideout and I thought fit the Jets the best to go opposite Davis with Moore in the slot.
Then Elam was the last CB available I had with a 1st round grade. I was torn on whether to go with Hill or Cine at safety but ended up going with Hill I could see either one going in the 1st. I would have liked to trade down and collect a couple more picks because there are still a few guys I like that are still available.

Sounds good. My brother-in-law will be happy.  The Jets need help. Too bad we are not trading players. The Colts should trade for WR Denzel Mims. He looks like a good player for them but the Jets never seem to appreciate the players they have. I liked Jamal Adams a lot.

haha kidding kidding,

with the 42nd pick of the 2022 draft, the Chicago Bears select David Bell, WR Purdue.

Wow. I like the player both definitely thought Pickens and Moore would go ahead of him after his bad combine. Way to stick with your board and not be influenced

To come back to this,

the Bears seem to like their draft so far, they were able to go BPA AND fill a major need in their dismal secondary.

They also traded up for a guy who they felt was the best remaining WR on the board and a guy they felt is a sleeper at WR and in most years, would have been higher up the draft boards, which also improves an underwhelming WR room

I thought the Bears have a really good CB in Jaylon Johnson and I like their safety (from Alabama).

Bears hired their new GM in the middle of the draft

Behind him though, they have no one really. I wanted Hill originally to strengthen the safety spot but he went one pick ahead.

    • That's True... and the difference is OTHER-WORLDLY.   NFL fans are more enraged towards breaking their TV and Furniture at Home!
    • So, My Take on Isaiah Rodgers :    If he is still serving only one year suspension, it would mean that he bet on other NFL games, and Rodgers DID NOT  bet on his own games or Colts games.    And, that would most probably mean that Isaiah Rodgers will be reinstated after serving one year suspension from the NFL.
    • From NFL website:   Betting on NFL games will draw an indefinite suspension at a minimum of one year, or two years if a player bets on a contest involving his team. Actual or attempted game fixing will result in a permanent ban from the NFL, while providing inside information and tipping will elicit an indefinite suspension (minimum of one year), as will third-party or proxy betting.   The most significant change outside of the NFL arena reduces penalties for betting on other sports while in the workplace, calling for two-game suspensions without pay for first-time offenders, six-game bans (also without pay) for second-time offenders, and suspension without pay for at least one year for a third violation. Williams and Petit-Frere were previously suspended six games for betting on non-NFL sports at a team facility. Under the amended policy, they would've been banned two games.   The NFL Commissioner will consider specific patterns of behavior and history of wagers, as well as the player in question's access to confidential information or an ability to affect a game in any way, among other factors, per a memo obtained by NFL Network's Judy Battista. Self-reporting violations, acceptance of responsibility and cooperation with league investigations can serve as mitigating factors when determining penalties.   The NFL has banned a handful of players since enacting its gambling policy, including a few rounds of suspensions prior to the start of the 2023 season. Williams and Petit-Frere are the only suspended players directly affected by this change in policy.   The league is reinstating Lions receiver Jameson Williams and Titans offensive lineman Nicholas Petit-Frere, effective Monday, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.
    • NFL and NFLPA has agreed to modify gambling policy, set clear guidelines for punishments and have reduced timespan of suspension for NON-NFL bets placed from any team facility.   Any player who bets on the NFL will continue to be suspended indefinitely for at least one year, while players who wager on their own teams will get a minimum two-year penalty.   Any player found to be trying to fix any aspect of a game will receive a lifetime ban.   Timespan of suspension for placing a non-NFL wager while at a team venue — which includes the practice facility, any of the league's stadiums, or even the team plane or hotel while traveling -- has been reduced. The league has significantly reduced the initial penalty for this type of violation, with the first infraction carrying a two-game suspension, a second offense netting six games and a third occurrence drawing a minimum of one year.   For example, Lions 2022 first round pick Wide Receiver, Jameson Williams, had been suspended earlier for 6 games for placing wager on non-NFL games from team facility. As he's already served more than the timespan of suspension per modified gambling policy, NFL has announced that Williams will be reinstated on Monday following Week 4 games.    Former Colt Isaiah Rodgers would continue to serve the suspension announced earlier for a minimum of one year.
    • I always looked forward to those games, cause I figured it was our best chance to win a game. Funny how it changed to watching two of the best teams in the NFL battle around 99 or so.
