I think you should at least consider that the timing may have been influenced by Irsay and Ballard. It’s been speculated that Luck may have been ready to retire much earlier in the off-season than he did. And that Irsay and Ballard may have encouraged to hold off retiring and hoping things would get better and Luck might change his mind and not retire. It’s not unreasonable to think they told Luck that Brissett would replace him no matter when he announced, so maybe more time could lead to more healing. Remember, Luck is the son of a quarterback. He knows the importance of the position to the team. He’s the least likely guy to want to hurt his own team. I don’t see him making an impulsive decision that hangs his franchise out to dry. It’s the exact opposite of Luck’s nature. Just good for thought. -
After the Draft: What we are hearing__on Twitter, Reddit, Podcasts, from fans, on sports radio, etc.I suspect it will be a mixed bag. But whatever happens, good or bad, there will be an overreaction from the fanbase Something about WRs and the Colts fanbase. Maybe it's the same with other teams, but it's amazing how much hype certain WRs get every offseason. Should have learned our lesson after Roy Hall.

Yup. Pierce will suck - the Indy scouting, drafting and coaching apparatus are wrong…and board posters are right. Sigh. -
Yep. That seems very intuitive. And while I too am not physiology expert, I can definitely see chronic knee tendinitis resulting from it, or at the very least being more of a concern with the added weight.
