I'm a big fan of AJ Brown, so I wouldn't be mad at all. It would be nice if we got a top talent that fell at 26, then Brown at the top of the 2nd,  but either way works for me.

Hollywood has TY comps, but that doesn't mean we need to draft a guy just like him to be our future WR1. I think AJ Brown brings a better overall skillset that will be able to complkment TY early and position him to take over as WR1 in a few years.

Having flashbacks to the Polian days. I don't think we've ever spent a high round on a IDL from as long as I can remember. And it's showed all these years. We had to trade a 2nd for Booger. When healthy the defense was much better with him in there. We signed Simon. Same thing when healthy our D was much better. He literally ate his way out of the NFL.

moala in the 2nd in 2009, Tripplett in the 2nd in 2002, Ellis Johson in the 1st in 1995

Ellis was was aight....the other two meh. You can rattle off skill players left and right with one fricken SB to show for it. Cause we were the greatest show on turf during the season. And down right horrible in playoffs, especially outdoors

I'd blame it as much on cr@ppy coaches too. Aside from Dungy, our coaching history in Indy sucked. Mora had like one good year. Not just talking about the Manning days.

Even Dungy's playoff record sucked, but he had 12 or more wins in 6 of 7 seasons.

    • This is really a non-story for me. Rodgers has been part of the entire offseason until now.     Honestly this just shows to me that wherever he is, it is very important to him. We also don't have a right to know since he doesn't want to share.
    • I’ll also add: Plenty of time still in the off season, so perhaps he’ll work out with his receivers somewhere between now and training camp, and this will be the non story it likely is.    Probably would’ve even matter but it’s the offseason and everyone is bored out of their minds.
    • It’s just a bit interesting how not long ago he mentioned how if he fails a lot of people will be losing their jobs, Saleh included. Robert really has no choice but to play it cool since everything hinges on making Rodgers happy… but man oh man I’d bet he’s screaming internally in his mind.   Historically, Aaron struggles with timing and working with his receivers early in the season. If it happens again you can be sure the NY media will bring it up.
    • Are we surprised atp?  Jets better come out rolling or the NY media will eat Rodgers up.  This isn’t Green Bay.  NY will tear his butt up.
    • Well….  I don’t think CTE.  But Roger’s has an enormous ego and has ALWAYS thought of himself as the smartest person in any room he’s in.   He always thinks he can talk his way out of any issue he’s facing.  It helps him sometimes and hurts him in times like this.     FWIW:  Salah, the Jets HC says there is no problem, all is good.  But it should be noted Salah is sitting on a red hot seat.  If the Jets start slow or struggle he becomes a candidate to be fired.  His leash is SHORT.
