Starting RB should be...

Hines did not get one carry vs Cincy. This means one of two things. First option: Coaches plan on using him Week 1, and did not want to risk injury. Second option: Coaches have to desire to play Hines Week 1, and wanted to see what they have in RB's that will play.

Luck did not get one throw in the Cincy game, maybe they wanted to see what they have in the QBs that will play.

Where do you guys come up with some of stuff?

14 carries 28 yds. I'm excited!

I respectfully disagree

Not that there is an individual comparison, but the BEST RBs in the history of the game, arent getting yards when they have a LB or DL draped on them, the moment they get the ball in the backfield.........

Did you watch the games?

Believe it or not, I think Turbin and Wilkins will prove to be the 1-2  RBs. I think Mack will be the change of pace third down specialist. Turbin is better than people give him credit; I think he becomes the #1 back. Hines will be catching splinters for a while. Michael gets cut when Turbin returns.

If that happens that will truly be a sad situation of our group of RB's.

A journeyman, career backup AND a late round pick with lacking playmaking talent.

To go along with our ultra pedestrian group of WR's besides T.Y.

We arent building this team in a very short time

Who do we get, TODAY, without giving up a boatload?

Wilkins, after a slow start (first 3 games)  averaged over 7.5 yards a carry against the SEC, the last 8 games last year

Not the WAC,Ivy league, Big Sky, Conf USA.......  THE SEC, the premier college conference in Football (Of course after the Big Ten is the BEST, with the AMAZING OHIO STATE) ..

The SEC has some amazing defenses.... Wilkins did very well against them

IMHO, Wilkins will do fine....... He needs a bit of daylight, and he will get yards

The RB position should/could have been fixed long before today.

As far as Wilkins, he may be a decent back. But I doubt he becomes anything more than a 'average rb' and someone who I'd prefer IS NOT OUR #1 RB.

Mack, who I liked before drafting him, is our only back that has a chance to be a playmaker. And even he we're not sure of how much workload he can carry or his durability.

Hopefully Mack will be healthy/durable enough to be our RB1. I think Turbin/Wilkins could be decent complimentary backs to him.

I think Mack is the starter with Wilkins helping carry the load. I'm surprised more aren't excited to see Mack get his chance. I am and think the kid will impress. I would not be shocked to see Oliver catch on at least until Turbin returns. The kid could play pre injury in SD and Reich has history with him. Hines better but together a few positive performance before week 5.

I hope that you are right about Mack

In the open field, the guy is very good

But.......  The guy doesnt seem to do well breaking an individual tacklers grip

In the NFL, its difficult to be successful without this

Wilkins is still an unproven candidate, but

In the preseason, and last year, against the SEC, the guy had shown this skill

We will see....... hopefully they both can have a great year
