They are very similar with their physical abilities.  I think we need to use Rogers more like the Bears use Jeffery.  They are both physical receivers with good size and enough speed to stretch the field and both can high point a jump ball.

Rogers is still learning. He's getting better at breaking off his routes, which is key in working with Andrew Luck. I think Pep has gotta design more plays for Rogers specifically like they do with TY. He was the showcase for WR corps today.

Rogers in the offense just makes everyone around him better. The cb's almost always play off coverage which left Whalen and T.Y open over the middle. He does need to work on route running but everything else he's great at.

But here's some food for thought.

 

Jeffrey underachieved in college.    For a while he was viewed as having 1st round talent....    his personal issues took him down to the 2nd round.

 

Rogers?     Viewed for a while with 2nd round talent....    and ultimately went undrafted by every team in the NFL.

 

Grabbed as a FA by Buffalo,  and couldn't stay on that roster through training camp.

 

Eventually,  he comes to the Colts, where it's taken him this long to earn his way onto the roster and seeing actual game action.

 

This is just another way of saying Roger may have a LOT of talent...   but he's got other issues to deal with as well.

Ahh Rob Lowe, the bears would kill us. There is noway in hell we could contain marshall,jJeffrey,forte, and whichever qb they would play! Jeffrey is way way better.
