Andrew Luck Deserves His Share of Blame

Go back and watch the 2011 season and you'll be kissing Luck's feet again. 

 

Look I get it it's fair to critique Luck and point out he hasn't been perfect.  He hasn't been and several here have done just that, myself included. 

 

However, some tend to go over board with it at times and then hide under the phrase "What I can't be critical?"  No one ever said people couldn't but there is a difference between offering fair criticism and ripping a guy just because you want to do rip someone because often times people are mad about something.  IMO, too often criticism here crosses into the later category here. 

 

As for Luck, yeah he's made his fair share of mistakes.  However, for a second year QB who is without his Hall of Fame WR, has a very limited running game, and is running for his life just about every time he drops back to throw he's doing just fine.  Honestly, the Colts are without five starters on offense, that's half the starting offense and then what's left is also very young other than DHB, Brown, and the offense.  DHB has been a bust I don't think anyone is going to argue that.  Brown has been better than he has been in the past but still isn't anything remarkable.  The fact that Luck has been able to lead that offense to 8 wins with all the injuries the offense has had is a bit remarkable. 

 

Can Luck improve?  Sure and more importantly I am sure he will.  He's a second year player guys and he's already playing better than most second year players do and as good if not better than most QBs in the league.  What more do you want from a guy in his second year?  Sure he has flaws and I am sure he and the coaches work of them every day but man for a second year player he's pretty darn good.
