Colts should sign James Harrison to a 1 year deal as another insurance policy...

Recommended Posts

1 year incentive laden contract, if we don't see it cut him in camp, it's worth a look...Nothing to lose.

My only real objection to Harrison is his age. We are in a youth movement and he would potentially take a roster spot from a prospect that could be developed. I am not crazy about baggage. The man is a personal foul waiting to happen. A good player, just don't see him necessarily fitting the mold of what we are trying to accomplish. Had we made it to the AFC Championship game last year and were looking for pieces to put us over the top......I would be more interested. However, I believe we are thinking about long term potential. Just my opinion. Plus, I have been waiting for the right time to use that smily  :D

Harrison the last 2 years.

24 games  Tackles 129 Sacks 15

Mathis 28 games  Tackles 76  Sacks 17.5

SAME ol' problem for Mathis, to get his sacks he gives up the run. Like Freeney, a BIG Part of our Long History of Bad Defenses.

So Simple MOST Cavemen know it.

LOL. Harrison has been terrible the past 2 years when he's been on the field. You're dillusional if you think that busted 'Ol headhunter James Harrison would even be past Jerry Hughes on the depth chart lmao . He's washed up. Pretty easy to see if you actually pay attention.

Clearly he kicked ^%$# while he was on the field. More Typical baseless left field blather. carry on.

Indy won't go near him, dude is 35 years old in a month and he is looking for ONE LAST BIG CHECK.      He will wait for an injury and then someone will pony up.       But I am sure It won't be Indy.

I want to see what Sidbury can do at OLB.   He is very similar to Harrison in a lot of ways.     Atlanta wanted him to be a DE and he is just too small.     He is a great athlete...     maybe he can come through in a 34?

    • Kwitty wasn't extended, they just picked up the 5th year option.  Rigo is paid in the middle of the pack for punters.
    • My recollection is Rigoberto was fine as the season progressed.
    • Ballard's decision on Kwitty and Rigoberto extension will be seriously questioned this season.  Kwitty... its show time with Latu and Ekuban giving him plenty of breather. Time to prove himself as deserving his extension. Rigoberto... last year he was not his best.  Early games he seems to underperform and that makes me concerned.  I think his injury has reduced his leg strength. I hope he gets some serious competition at camp.
    • I had back surgery 3-4 years ago. Pain never leaves. Have to deal with it, don't handicap your team though.   If you can't play through it, go sit on the bench.   To play the last 9:30 of the game and have 0 shot attempts, 3 turnovers cost us the game. We were already playing 5 vs 8. So that took us to 4 vs 8.    That's just the offensive part of it, he already is a liability on the defensive end most nights, as it is. Im usually calling for Offensive/defensive substitutions late in games when able to.     Being used as a decoy isn't the answer. It hurt the team.   Who's fault that is(Carlisle, or Haliburton)? IDK, but it cost us game 1, and at the end of the day, could come back and cost us the series.     If he has a major back issues at 24, that's a bigger issue.   @John Waylon Post came through while posting, think a lot here ties to your post.       Side Bar:    I wish I could say be doesn't play like this too often, but he frustrates me a lot. So I'm not accepting his injury excuse here, everyone is dealing with something. Either play or don't. To many other occurrences of play like this to dismiss it as a pattern.     I've posted about it here a few times.
    • No he looks bulky. He's a lot bigger then last season.
