What happened to the fullback?

Donald Brown was okay today....and excellent in the 4th quarter

but its not about him...

If we insist on running the ball on firts down..(which we should stop)

..can we please line up a fullback in front of Brown??

What happned to that idea...

Ray Rice loves that guy at Baltimore who blocks for him.....

He only has to play 15-20 plays......and he can pass block on play action so the HB can go out...

But..with our line....we need a part-time blocking back...please

Huh? How does a big guy opening up holes not fit him?

Arians unfortunately doesn't use fullbacks only H-backs. Jones and Allen are usually those positions.

He isn't a methodical runner. He either sees a hole and bursts through or gets caught at the LOS. A FB doesn't fit him.

So tell me if Brown is better with a FB or someone in front of him, why won't we line up in the Power I formation more?

If we're going to run on first down...we should

Its not logical to run a halfback between the tackles without a blocking back...and expect a bad line to blow all pros off the ball..

The fullback is obsolete. Sure some teams still use a fullback but in today's NFL, but you don't need a full time FB. With the emphasis on the passing game, having a FB takes away from putting another guy into the pass pattern other than having him run into the flats.

Arians offense doesn't use a FB. Thus we don't need a FB. We just need better interior linemen.
