Castanzo sounds good on paper.

I think Castonzo is pretty good; definitely better than many give him credit for. Especially, when you consider the combination of limited off season when he was drafted, his injury limiting his playing/practice time last season, and the whole new coaching staff/system essentially means he is not that far removed from being a rookie. I think he has a lot of potential and will end up being a top tier LT within couple years.

Just a bit soft in my opinion.. He's not much of a mauler.. maybe he'll develop over time, but I don't see anything special. With that said, he's one of the best of the current bunch, but that isn't a ringing endorsement.

So far I think I agree with this thought on Castonzo. He hasn't shown anything special to me. He looks like he can develop into a solid player but not much more. I certainly don't think he's as good as Tarik Glenn was by his second year.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said he has been happy with the progress OT Winston Justice (concussion) has made while recovering from a concussion. Justice may be able to play Week 2.

I would expect the starting lineup to be Costanzo, Essex, Satele, Mcglynn and Justice come Sunday

Maybe someone else other than Mcglynn possibly

Would love for Reitz to get back soon. I believe a lineup of AC, Essex, Satele, Reitz, Justice would be our best that could be on the line.

    • A high ankle sprain, even if considered mild, is a different animal than the typical 'rolled' ankle sprain, and takes at least twice as long (or more) for recovery.   Though we don't know for certain yet, this is in the realm of possibility. Besides, it may be the same ankle where he's had prior history in 2022 as well as surgery in early 2023. Taking this into consideration, a multi-week absence could be an outcome for him in the short term. An improperly healed high ankle sprain has long term ramifications to consider, as well.
    • Yes, and I'm sure the Colts will field a full rotation of D lineman, with a few having to play more snaps than before,  The replacements will be as good as the linemen that won't play....Defo, Lewis, and Paye.  That's my opinion.
    • I thought Flacco did pretty dang good. It was nice seeing passes not go over our receivers heads. AR played pretty well in the short time he was in there but I still didn’t see anything that would tell us he’s fixed his accuracy on short/intermediate throws. That being said AR is the starter unless he plays his way out or gets injured again.
    • I'm not saying what AR did was sustainable - the first and maybe second drives were likely scripted, which would've made it easier for AR. Also, like you said, Pittsburgh adjusted and would've probably done the same against AR. But, the whole run game and the dynamics of the offense shifted when AR left. JT up the gut became the go-to run play again for example. AR just opens up the offense in a different way.
    • He will be like 30 or 31 after next season. He is getting to the end of his career. But the guy is playing at a very high level still
