Judge Sapp

Soon we are going to see Sapp on one of those TV shows claiming he sees ghosts. Did you ever notice it's always the non working celebrities that seen ghosts. I mean Russel Crow don't see ghosts. Robert De Niro doesn't see ghosts. Brad Pitt doesn't see ghosts. haha

What a mess this guy has made out of his life. I always like Warren, he's a funny guy but he sure blew it didn't he?

Hopefully he will be ok in this spot and make enough money to get him out of the financial hole he has dug for himself.

What struck me from that article is the quoted salaries of $40 million for Judge Judy and $20 million for Judge Joe Brown. Are you kidding me? I normally have no problems with actors, performers, or athletes getting rich - but on a comparative basis those numbers just seem absurd.

In other words, if Judge Judy is far wealthier than Peyton Manning, there be something wrong with this picture.

I love how the article says he lost his on the air job on NFL Network. He was on Total Access Wednesday night.

I was wondering the same thing?

The article mentions he lost his job twice, yet I just watched Sapp last night on NFLN. Maybe they're referring to his soon to expire contract?

Sounds like Sapp, hes not serious enough for me.HEs a big cowboys homer.

Are you mixing him up with Irvin? The things Irvin says never make sense and I can't take him seriously. His love for the Cowboys also gets in the way and he goes out of his way to talk about them.

And both are wealthier than any firefighters, doctors, nurses, paramedics, etc. Something is very wrong with that picture

As I implied in my first comment, I have no problem with a "celebrity" culture. If talented people who provide us with an enormous amount of pleasure become wealthy, that's fine with me. There really aren't very many of them, and life would be a lot less enjoyable without them. It's just that the two people that I mentioned have no appreciable talent, and the shows they represent are vacuous and disturbingly voyeuristic. It utterly boggles the mind that their shows are in such demand, and I find that a disturbing commentary on our society.

But of course I certainly agree that people in the fields you mention need to be able to make an excellent living - not just because they perform an essential service, but so that others are continually driven to pursue similar careers.

I agree with you in both statements. At least guys in the NFL work hard and get what they work for. The guys who put in the work in the weight room and practice field and film room perform well and get paid well

    • Both Flacco and Ehlinger are free agents.  Uncertain about the long list of upcoming QB FAs that we could target next season.  Remember AR is still very raw only played one full season much like Caleb Williams in college with very similar snap count and production.  I do see the Colts looking for potentially two backup replacements but also someone very early in Round 2 as a backup (with strong upside as a starter a must).  Jalen Milroe (Alabama) is my top front-runner and may see his draft stock rise to early Round 1, but right now if he is available to us in Round 2 then he becomes our next Flacco/Minshew.  Either Grayson McCall or KJ Jefferson could be potential draft replacements for Ehlinger.    Right now, can see us next year go Edge again in Round 1.  Both Ebukam and Lewis will be in their 30's and contracts up at the end of 2025.
    • I don't know. There's some potential late games. Lions, Steelers, Bills, Dolphins, Packers. Texans for sure
    • Agree, feels very late this year.    The NFL teams are preparing schedule release videos as we speak right now!
    • Simmons is someone the NFL and every referee unit continues to have their eye on during every play. The moment he does a big hit (he usually doesn't care about how and where he hits), the league is gonna serve him a 4 game ban. He would spend most of the year suspended, unless he plays by rules which he doesn't seem to want.    Do you think Ballard gets that type of player, with year long availability in question? There's a reason he's available in FA, not because he's waiting, but because only the teams that are okay with his style of play and its consequences will get him before the start of the season. Not sure Colts is that team.
