The difference is you see all those guys as C- players.    That’s your opinion.  
 

I don’t believe there are grades or other facts to back that up.

I'm sorry, but AR imo just doesn't have the accuracy to sit in the pocket and make throws. Get him outside where teams are forced to come at him because of the fear of him running which then opens up the coverage. It shrinks the field sure, but it also puts the defense in a bind because they have to respect AR's legs.

 

I disagree to a degree. AR is much more of a pocket passer than a lot of people would like to consider him. He needs MORE reps ... in and out of the pocket. He just needs reps and experience. Agree with one thing though... he might benefit from changing his platform once in a while and giving the defense some deferent looks that they cannot key in on.

2 games and Taylor has not touched the ball more then 16 times which is absolutely insane to me given he's your best player. You need to take as much pressure off AR as possible and JT can do that.

Somewhat agree... but game script dictates some of this. We've just not been playing with the lead a lot and we've been in position to need to throw a lot. I still don't think him sitting the last drive last week was that huge of a problem, especially after he actually dropped an easy pass earlier in the game. He's never been known to be a great pass-catching back and I have no idea why people are pretending like he is one here.

I don't know why the hell the TEs are not getting more involved in the passing game. We need drive starting plays. Not everything needs to be a deep or intermediate play.

We need better TEs, AR doesn't need to force throws to mediocre TEs who slip or run the wrong routes or can't catch the ball.

Yep... lots of things need cleaning up in our defense. Some seem like coaching points, some are personnel based. I think our LBs have been big culprits in our porous run defense.

Hire a general manager who recognizes the team's biggest weaknesses/flaws and will do whatever it takes to bring in Pro Bowl-level talent to fill in those holes.

Sorry, but that's a terrible idea. A player who's played just 19 games since high school and who more than anything needs real game experience doesn't magically become a better, more experienced passer by watching from the sideline. You don't get better at sports by watching sports.

C is being very nice.  C- to D is what they are.  Mediocre talent at best.  Just watch other teams.  They have real talent.  We have Ballard talent.  That is talent only Ballard sees.

I have a better suggestion.  Don't draft an experiment.  It will makes things much better.  And AR is an experiment so Ballard can say look what I did.  I got news for all of you.  AR will get Ballard fired.  AR is not good.  Never has been.  Its the reason he has not played very many games in High School and College.  He is not good.  Period.  he is an athlete that can throw the ball a mile but nothing else.  Nothing.

thank you for your in depth opinion that I have no doubt comes from years of experience grading and evaluating QB talent for the NFL.

 

I got news for you.  Ballard did not make that decision on his own.

I think Ballard's drafting prowess has always been a bity overstated, at least since that 2018 draft class (which seems to be an outlier).

 

And nearly half of the full starting roster is comprised of aging players...all acquired 6+ years ago. Between injuries and poor performance, we might be seeing the downside of this. 

 

There are some pieces, but a rebuild (regardless of AR) seems inevitable. That could be the light at the end of a tunnel of a lost season. Get a top 5 pick and then parlay it into a monster trade-back ala 2018. That would be a great start and a wonderful housewarming present for the new GM.
