I guess you want your games to become boring am I right?

Normally when 2 teams are pretty even, in the 1st 4 games it ends up 2-2. You usually have each team win a close one and each team win big. So far that is what had happened. The difference here is, we are healthier and have the deeper team. Even when we were down 0-2, I wasn't panicking, see my posts above . Once we pulled out Game 3, I knew we would win today. Teams that fall down 0-2 in NBA history lose 90% of the time but this felt different. I just looked at the NBA TV network odds and the Knicks are favored to still win the series 53% now to our 47%, it's close. It is only because they have HCA. Had the Knicks won today and went up 3-1, they would have been 92% favorites. 92% down to 53%, WOW!

@DEColtsLover36, Happy Mother's Day. I am at moms now, been here all day. I bought her a nice bottle of Wine and I grilled us out 2 Ribeye steaks she had in the freezer. I did the cooking, it was great. A little Garlic Powder and a tenderizer and you are good. She cooked her Baked Potato because she likes it a certain a way. I cooked mine and smothered it in butter haha homer simpson GIF. She doesn't even follow basketball that much but was entertained watching the Pacers today the way they were making shots and running. It looked like the Showtime Lakers.

Homer Simpson Laughing GIF by FOX TV- even when we kick their rear, Knicks fans can't accept it. They will soon be home for the season, if we win Game 5, it is over because we haven't lost a game here since March lmao .

Pacers today: 3rd time in NBA history (since starters began being charted in 1977) to have an entire starting five shoot zero free throws in a playoff game. Others: Heat vs. Denver in 2023, Jazz vs. Houston in 2018. – via Twitter ByTimReynolds

Can we overcome this at NY, that is the 1-million-dollar question. Everyone knows we won't get any calls there. Only way to beat them there is to have a game where we hit a majority of our 3's. Take it out of the REFS hands.

End of 1st half of the Nuggets game was crazy.

Nuggets hit 3 with 19 seconds left to go up 10.

Wolves have ball, no shot clock.

Nuggets get a steal with like 5 seconds, Jokic throws full court pass to Porter for Dunk.

Wolves throw inbound pass 3/4 of the court, with 1.6 seconds, Murray steals it and hits a 70'.

5pts when they shouldn't of even got the ball back...

Nuggets pulled a Reggie Miller. Incredible ending to that 1st Half. If the Nuggets win tonight, I think they will win the series.

@Yoshinator, great stuff after losing the 1st 2 at home. It is now 2-2 and you have HCA back! Pacers are also at 2-2 vs the Knicks. 2 great series.

Yeah, we both have a chance now. I'd love our teams to face in the NBA finals. Would be a lot of fun. Hopefully we keep winning.

Big game tonight for the Pacers.

Gotta come out swinging while we got them on the ropes.

Thibs always overworks his guys. They looked exhausted. Have to keep making Brunson work, to even get the ball in the front court. Pascal and Haliburton have to be aggressive.

Probably going to get Scott Foster tonight.

Been looking for Ref assignments, supposed to be posted at 9am. Will update when I see it

Edit: that didn't take long.

I am one that doesn't think this is a must win, I am probably in the minority by saying that but beating them 3 times in a row is expecting a lot. Despite being shorthanded, they still have a good team and are great at home. I could see us losing tonight and then winning games 6 and 7. We just need to get 1 there. If Scott Foster is officiating, that is a bad sign too, he is the worse out there. I can't see his crew letting us play aggressive on defense like the crew we had in Game 4.

I updated my post he is our guy tonight.

I don't think it's a must win either. Would rather win game 5 than 7 though.

I think we have the better team and have said that all series long but sometimes the neutralizer is HCA in a series when teams aren't as good which makes it even.

We are more healthy, deeper, more athletic, and Haliburton is on Brunson's level. Brunson is the better player but not by much. They have HCA, coaching is a WASH but Carlisle did win a Championship in Dallas.

Article from less than 2 weeks ago

Knicks won by 3pts, seemed pretty even, 76ers had 5 more fouls, but free throws were within 1. Box score below snippet from article.

From article above:

"Scott Foster, nicknamed “The Extender” by NBA fans, will be one of the referees for the much-anticipated matchup at Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia.

Home teams went 45-23 (66.2 percent) with Foster on the whistle this year, while covering in 39 of those games (57.4 percent) and winning by an average of 7.3 points, according to covers.com.

The Knicks are 11-8 with Foster refereeing their games over the last three seasons, including a Game 1 win in this series, while the 76ers are 8-8 in that same stretch, according to the Knicks.

The 76ers, though, are 7-3 at home with Foster in that span, while the Knicks are 2-3 on the road.

The NBA will never escape its dubious past with referees thanks to Tim Donaghy’s gambling scandal, and Foster was one of the disgraced referee’s allies.

Donaghy phoned Foster 134 calls from 2006-07 when he was betting on games and sharing inside information."

So saying all that, it seems the deck is potentially stacked against us this evening, but it can be overcome with a great offensive performance or 2.

I don't really know if it is good for us or not, I doubt he will let Brunson get away with as much flopping as some of the other guys let him get away with(he will still give a few though). There will definitely be a stretch in the game where he does some stuff that will have everyone like :dunno:

I think we take them down to night, we continue with the unrelenting pressure and continue to make them work hard every second of the game.

Yeah, if we have a night where we make a ton of 3s we can just win this outright. Pacers have had several games where they have made 50% of their 3s. If we take 30 3s and make 15, we should win going away.

I don't think winning a game 7 in NY is going to happen.  The refs will not let it happen.

Confused Looking For GIF by Looney Tunes

Looking for Haliburton.

Showed some life at the end of half, hopefully he comes out more aggressive in the 2nd half.

They've taken 15 more shots than we have in the the 1st half. 27-11 on the boards.

Van Gundy on Haliburton again. Deserved.

I turned it off just before the end of the first, but he was absent tonight. Checking the box score right now with 4 to go in the 4th and he only has 9 shots. And he’s hit 5 of them.

But he’s not the only one who didn’t show up. Did anyone even show up? Where the # has Siakam been in this whole series? Hes been the drizzling %s in this one.

More of the embarrassing “watch them shoot” defense. I’ve had my fill of Nembhard. The good with him does not outweigh the bad. He dribbles for too long into silly forced shots. His defense is laughable. They put him on Brunson tonight, he % the bed, and they went right back to it as soon as they could.

Just embarrassing all around.

Was a pretty embarrassing all around performance.

Like I said above, a lot of soul searching to do, for all of them.

Towards the end of the 3rd Haliburton only had 4 shots. Only 2 players that played that had fewer was Jackson and Sheppard.

I single out Haliburton because he is supposed to be our best player(he is), but he disappears to much.

He had a layup (like he often does) in the 3rd and passed it out(like he often does) and I told my son, he has to take that layup, 1 second later, Van Gundy says "he has to take that lay up".

Followed by a few other words.

Just a game, need to rebound, protect home court and go give em hell in game 7.
