I pray one of our starters wasn't this stupid if this is true.

Was just about to come post this.

Quote

The investigation has found evidence that this player — who is on the Colts’ active roster — placed “hundreds of wagers,” a source told the publication.

Hundreds of bets. :tvsmash:

This isn't some 6 game or season suspension if true.

The hammer would be dropped. Betting on your own team. Not good.

Have to think it is a lower salary guy, but that doesn't exclude guys on rookie deals.

Little worrisome for sure.

That makes more sense either way why do something so dumb.

Beyond dumb, no doubt.

Just hoping "active roster" means our 91 man roster, and not our top 53 roster from last year.

Rather the rule is dumb or not it’s still a rule and the NFL has made it clear they will drop the hammer on players for violating it so violating it is just dumb.

Don't think it would ever be a dumb rule to not be allowed to bet on your own team.

To much insider information.

I agree with that.  I was just taking the broad response as I know from past discussions some people feel the gambling rule is dumb.

All I can say is at least we have no expectations this year with a rookie QB is it is someone important.

I think if proven they bet on the Colts the suspension goes beyond this year.

Perriman signing just has me wondering if it is a wide out?

Pittman

Pierce

Dulin

?

Hate to speculate, but that is all that can be done at the moment.

Signed an Edge guy recently too.

Paye

Dayo

Lewis

?

Looks like it might be Pittman. NFL rumors is reporting it’s Pittman but then deleted it. They tagged ESPN.

Little "hip" injury, as the cover?

Can make some sense.

If that's the case I would be looking at Hopkins.

I remember in College football someone bet on their team to lose and they were playing lacksidasical in order to help lose

I can’t find any tweets like that… It said a starter but not really a star so no Pittman

Who has time to make hundreds of wagers at the team facility?

Injured guys?

Really? It takes about 30 seconds to post a wager on your phone....

I'm thinking (maybe hoping?) It's Dulin or someone on his level of importance...

Not that he's not a key guy, but no one more critical please.

I'm thinking that means Speed, Cross (maybe the reason Blackmon moved to SS), Flowers, or maybe Dayo. Rodgers may fall into that, but I feel like he's already been a starter, so not necessarily fitting that description.

Querry said he is 99% sure it’s a defensive player with a great opportunity in front of him. That leads to rodgers or maybe Thomas?

I'm thinking that means they weren't a starter before, but due to roster losses, were in line to potentially start this year. That makes me think of Cross, Speed, and Dayo.

It sounds like Rodgers and that really sucks if true. I'd say most of us Colts fans would say Rodgers shows promise on defense as much as anybody does.

Rodgers had a great opportunity to become a full time starter. He falls into that. Dayo is one I didn’t think of. That would be a huge blow/
