Vrabel knows, he and Bruschi and McGinnest dared Peyton to run the ball when Belichick played his LBs deeper than usual and Peyton took a WHILE to learn to take check downs and cede to the run.

 

There is a fine line between dealing the knockout punch in 3 or 4 blows vs 10 or 11 blows but it is a knockout punch just as good. Peyton went for the kill shot more often early in his career while a methodical drive keeps the D fresh and reduces the chance for your D to get tired. Brady has always understood that, well early in his career and that is why he has 7 SBs.

Man they’ve talked about how great the Bills D coordinator is, but our D did a much better job against the Titans than they have

Josh Allen had a bad 3 and out and put the Bills D in a very bad spot, IMO. Bills D is built to stop the pass, but get worn out vs the run and they need some clock control from offense to help their smaller speedy D, sound familiar from the Peyton days?

Nope they didn't bleed nearly enough clock, plenty of time. Bills long time consuming drive, no fast score. That secondary of Titans very very exploitable

He has to be methodical, no hero ball, just completions for first downs to march down the field. That is how they will win it.
