Rumor is Denver is zeroing in on Cousins so that might take away one QB hungry team and in addition screw up the dynamic that would require the Jets to pay king's ransom for our pick. If I had to bet, I'd bet it would be 4 QBs, but I wouldn't rule out 5th one sneaking in at the back end.

3 will go in the top 6. I can honestly see 6+ going in the 1st. There are a lot of QB needy teams and a lot of QB talent in this draft.

Teams who will likely take a QB unless they land a top FA:

Browns, Giants, Jets, Broncos, Cardinals, bills, redskins

Teams who may be looking for a future/replacement QB:

dolphins, Bengals, Steelers, jags, saints, patriots

Rosen, Darnold, Allen, mayfield, Jackson will all go in the first with maybe Rudolph also slipping in.

I can see Denver wanting a vet QB.  It was just 2 years ago Elway traded up 5 spots in round 1 (from 31 to 26) to take Paxton Lynch, a very raw QB.  He sat year 1, and was hurt (shoulder) much of last year. So they do not have enough data on the guy whether to draft another QB or see if he can get/stay healthy and develop.

I would like to see someone like Allen fall to the 2nd RD and the Colts pull the trigger on him. With Luck`s situation, we just don`t know and a legit potential starter down the road would be an excellent fall back plan.

Allen passes sailed in practices at the Senior bowl.  So his grade dropped some.  Maybe not quite enough to get to round 2.  Jim Miller said his issues were footwork.  That can be coached and corrected, and his elite throws are still pat of the package.  I think we should look at Luke Falk, but I fear the Pats will take him in front of us, I feel.  Brady and Hoyer?  Bill Belichick drafts QB's, often in round 2 or 3 even when Brady was young and healthy. Now what will he do?  Be sure a QB is on Pats list early. But who? And when?

Good post! It’s early and there are always some projected 1st rounders who slip to the 2nd or 3rd RD. If a QB such as Allen or B. Mayfield were there in the 2nd RD, I would think the Colts should consider it.
