Look, I feel for the Gorilla but calling him a hero is a stretch of the imagination.

How was the gorilla a hero? The person that started the petition is from PA.  Steelers fan?

To shed some light, 15-18 year olds have made one huge joke of the gorilla being a hero. He's just one big meme at this point, kind of on par with crying Jordan.

How was it the Gorilla lost his life ??  Negligence 

 

Stupid idea IMO how about building a statue of the Gorilla at the zoo with a plaque that tells his story & why he died explaining to parents that Harambes would still be alive if a parent was able to keep there child from climbing into his enclosure his home he paid with his life for a mistake that an irresponsible person made .

Yep. If things weren't so sue happy in this country, maybe some other adult would have asked the kid to stop before the eventual damage was done.

Apparently, the individuals who signed this petition have way too much time on their hands. If animal cruelty is the motivation behind this proposed name change in Ohio, I would ask these people if they had fallen into the gorilla's habitat who do they think should be protected first? You or the primate? 

 

They are aware that a wild animal is capable of ripping them apart from limb to limb in an instant right that you can't reason with this creature like a Jane Goodall, heartfelt documentary correct? 

 

Human beings always take precedence over animals in a life & death situation. Sadly, some people fail to comprehend that fact.
