Tyms will be better this upcoming year...I still believe this guy will become good, after the suspension he hasn't done much...

I am not sure about Dobson, the guy just can't stay healthy at all, I still want to give him one more year before we pull the plug on him, lets see how he does next preseason.

Hopefully we see some improvement, otherwise we are really set at WR with LaFell,Edelman,Amendola. Tim Wright is gonna be great next year, he will have more time to work with Brady, we might run more dual TE packages.

If Tyms is just a speed guy that can do deep than I don't see a position for him. We are not a team that is ever going to focus on the home run ball as long as Brady is QB. If he can run solid routes like Lafelle can and do some deep ins or some curls and get open then I think he has a much better chance of seeing more playing time.

What? How did Brady run Thompkins out of town? He was one of his top targeted receivers last year. Thompkins was not good enough to make the team this year with the addition of Lafells who has been a stud with Brady all year.

 

Dobson has been hurt in case you missed that. He is on the team but is behind Lafells, Edelman and Amendola on the depth chart.

You throw everyone under the bus and have no criticism for Brady.

 

Thompkins did make the team and was cut after the 4th game of the season while Brady was only throwing to Edelman and Gronk, while many other WR's were open.  Tom E. Curran and Ron Borges talked about it.

 

Dobson played in a games before he got injured in the Packers game, but of course Brady didn't look in his direction.

 

Lafell was a no show until the Bengals game in week 5.  After the Chiefs disaster they had to change the offense around for Brady who was benched in that game.

 

Tyms does have talent, the problem is Brady won't throw to him because Brady only throws to his guys he likes within the first 15 yards.  Tyms can run down field areas where Brady isn't accurate or comfortable throwing to.

Brady doesn't like down field speed guys.  Don't judge or determine a WR's talent based on how they perform on the Pats' offense.  If you were put Tyms and Dobson on the Colts, Saints, Packers, Lions, Eagles, Giants, Cowboys, Seahawks, Cardinals they would be very good.

 

And those 3 guys high lighted above are dink and dunk guys.  They catch balls within the first 10 to 15 yards.   All opposing teams have to do is clog up the middle forcing Brady to throw deep and the Pats lose.  It's how the Ravens and Jets knocked them out of the playoffs.  It's a one dimensional passing game.  Everyone outside of NE knows this and talks about it except Pats fans.

First, Pats have the number one scoring offense. Number ONE.

 

Thompkins has 14 catches in Oakland this year. 14. He was not good enough to have a spot on this Pats team with Lafells, Edelman and Amendola. 

 

Dobson has not played this season due to injury. Period

 

Lafell has been one of the best WRs on the team all year.

 

Tyms has not been on the field except for two games. He is not good enough to get a spot. If all he can do is run deep than he will have a tough time making any NFL roster. So far we have not see him do anything else.

It was amusing the first 4 games of the season when Brady was pouting how he'd throw the worst passes to Dobson and Thompkins like a brat.  He'd only throw to Edelman and Gronk the first 4 games of the season.  I guess he didn't like using Jimmy G's and McDaniels' pre-season offense where Jimmy was hooking up with Tyms left and right.

Thought you would find this interesting. Looks like the Pats were trying to get another QB to compete with Jimmy. Bears QB David Fales who they were very high on during the draft and would have taken had Jimmy not been there. They just tried this past week to scoop him off of the Bears practice squad so they could develop him along with Jimmy. Jimmy better be on his toes ... would not be surprised to see the Pats ship a low round pick at the Bears to get him in the off-season ....

 

An interesting bit of news from the Chicago Tribune: The Bears added practice squad quarterback David Fales to the active roster Saturday, apparently to protect him from being scooped up by another team.

Fales was a 2014 sixth-round pick out of San Jose State, where he led the NCAA with 72.5 percent completion percentage as a senior.

It's possible the Patriots were high on Fales pre-draft, and that he was an option at some point if the team didn't get Jimmy Garoppolo.
