Jay Gruden is done with RG3

He could be in Buffalo, NYJ, Philly, or Chicago next year.  Possibly St. Louis (that would be ironic).

absolutely no chance of RG3 playing for the Bears...

They are committed to Jay Cutler.....and why would Buffalo try another project...

Robert needs to ride the bench for a while behind a good QB and try to learn

So I take it that you disagree?

Maybe the meddlesome owner wants to increase RG3's value, figuring it couldn't hurt to play him.

It's obvious, he needs a fresh start. Chip has been mentioned but another viable option is Arizona. Arians would be perfect to impart exactly what needs to be said in order to break him down and build him back up.

I love it the coach is no dummy he did'nt draft RG3 nor would he have , These boards had alot of people praising RG3 the HYPE was way over the top everywhere we looked the media was drooling .

Who should we take ? For me it was a easy answer Luck  period    .

Luck  - RG3

Edge - Ricky Williams

Peyton Manning - Ryan Leaf   who was just released from prison .

The media loved theses players & the Colts got it right .   RG3 is a loser and his true believers only have his rookie season to smile about 3 seasons not 1 complete season & he's benched backing up the back up to the back up :disco: Great job ...

I don't think there is a place for him in this league. He's almost a Michael Vick clone, which is what everyone said from the beginning. Only thing is he's far more polished as a passer than Vick. But I don't see a team that would want him. Not even Philly. Chip would be better off trying to poach E.J. Manuel from the Bills.

You probably would be lucky to get a 3rd rounder for him if you traded him. But hey, this is what the CBA is for. Even though the Rams are laughing because they made out like bandits, the Redskins won't be stuck paying off a $60 million dollar contract. If I'm Gruden, I've got my scouts out looking at Connor Cook and Sean Mannion. Maybe Mariota if he falls. McCoy is good enough to win you a few games while you groom a young QB.

Remember when Robert was in the draft and Indy still had Peyton and he was asked if he'd be a backup...to Manning?

..and he said he'd consider it an honor?

...would have been such a benefit if he'd have sat a year behind someone

It wouldn't have helped. People don't seem to realize that only pocket passing QBs win in the NFL. People want to take guys like RGIII and Manziel and say stuff like "If they can learn to win from the pocket". But the reality is that those guys never will. That's not their game and it's not why they got drafted. RGIII's legs were the basis of his game, not a luxury like Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers.

You can't take a guy who is a gimmick running QB and ask him to be a pocket passer in the NFL. It doesn't happen. There is a reason all those teams with QB needs passed on Johnny.

Ha, more like Griffin is done with Gruden.

Yeah.. there's a report out there for whatever you want to hear. In any event this is incredible for a bad team and bad play by a player to get so much media attention. But it is really a unique situation that has a crazy owner , an outspoken coach and a controversial player. Who knows how this will play out ?

    • The Colts handed Taylor a boat load of money which is unheard for a running back in today’s NFL.  You don’t do that and take him off the field in crucial situations for Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson.  Shane has done just that in two of the last three games he’s coached.  Not playing maybe your best offensive weapon for a whole fourth quarter is criminal.  Shane is trying to be too cute and over thinking things trying to fool other teams and it’s not working in the slightest.  Play your best players at the most critical points of games.  That’s why you paid them.
    • People come up with the strangest over reactions ever when the Colts lose.
    • I agree 100 Ballard time is up , him and Bradley. You can preach accountability and retain Bradley another year….Ballard loves to say guys just need to hit the layup… he should take his own advice we all knew we needed help in the secondary this year no moves, we all knew we needed help last year at corner , oline year before. I talking about obvious weaknesses media calls him out on it year after year and he plays it off like he smarter than everyone then admit mistakes at the end of year and does the same thing. Bradley doesn’t make any adjustment like he runs what he runs and that it
    • To be honest this is malpractice by Ballard ….. like I know they think us fans are stupid but some of us played sports , coached sports , watched sports etc… we know what we are seeing like everyone knew we needed depth in the second. But Ballard doesn’t bring vets in and makes guys compete for a job he hands them to players he thinks are nice people a deserve a shot. Ala Pinter, NFL is a league where you get what you earn ,you eat what you kill , not what you deserve. Ballard need to take a hard look at him self at look at how other teams that win are built. We need speed at the corner position and a scheme shift. Like no HC under Ballard has been able to pick they DC he normally has one before they get hired and they retain Ballard guy
