I would love to get Oakman in the 1st to play DE opposite Jones, and then in the 2nd get the best DB or OLB available. 3rd round get whatever we don't get in round 2. Talk about instantly upgraded our pass rush.

I know Oakman has a lot of support here....   but, for whatever it's worth...    neither Kiper or McShay have hiim with a 1st round grade yet.

 

Doesn't mean he won't have a first round grade by the time draft rolls around,  or even sooner.

 

He just doesn't have one.....  right now.

 

Just some food for thought as the college season unfolds.....

Oakman reminds me of both Michael Johnson and Margus Hunt due to his Height and his ability. To me, like both, he is a little raw coming out of college and a big question will be for us is: will he be too tall to play as an 3-4 OLB?

yup. He was making several players last night. Very quick around the edge and a good run stopper. I mainly love his size, the announcers were calling him LeBron James in pads

I was looking at his previous article where he listed the top-10 players at each position and Oakman was 7th out of 10 at DE.

 

So,   the kid is moving on up!      Good for him.      Again,  good catch by you!
