Jarius Byrd is going to get about $10MM a year. Jones will get more than $4MM as year as well.

Matthews will not last til the end of the 2nd.

I personally would never use a draft pick on a kicker.

I like everything else. But I think you're being conservative on most of those contracts.

I don't know why Toler is being cut in everyone's offseason plans. At least see what he does in the playoffs and give him next year to prove he can be healthy. Don't give us another need with the ones we already have.

That's the amount of the tag, $2.977m, to be more specific. But that's different than a long term commitment at that amount. As I've said several times, I'm shocked that we didn't do a long term deal with McAfee in the first place, so I don't know that he's in the team's long term plans.

 

Overall, I'm a McAfee fan. But BotT questioned McAfee a few weeks ago, and since then, McAfee has shanked a punt and put a kickoff out of bounds (which he also did in the Titans game). McAfee isn't the only punter out there. I'd rather have him as a known commodity, but I don't think his leg is hard to replace for cheaper than $3m/year.

Solid draft but i don't think we need a WR. I like Smallwood but we have to get a CB early because Toler can't stay healthy. E.J Gaines or Bradley Roby in the 2nd.

Don't like Roby, he got torched by a poor passing team this season in Wisconsin. He just doesn't look consistent enough in coverage.

I personally like Loucheiz Purifoy, solid cover guy from a man heavy system, excellent on special teams, very physical, very fast (Florida even contemplated playing him both ways.), plays with a kind swagger that I like. I have seen him mocked around the end of the second, but that could rise in the run up to the draft.

Purifoy will likely be looked at as a Safety in the NFL I think, Much better hitter then he is in coverage. He would be a liability in a Man scheme as a #2 Corner (Assuming

Kinda agree that WR is not a huge need atm we have some in-house options next year with TY, Lavon and Da'Rick
