I would definitely go with Houston.  If it were me myself, I would corrupt the Texans and trade JJ Watt and Andre Johnson to the Colts for 6th and 7th round picks while agreeing to take 99% of the cap hit.  But in all seriousness, The Texans have more pieces in place.  Their defense can be very good and if they can get a good QB, they'll be above .500 again.  In Minny, they have an aging defense and their offense starts and ends with Adrian Peterson.  AP is a beast, but he's 28 now, has a 2000 yard season under his belt, and the RB position is not kind to its players as they wear down fast.

I would go with the Vikings. They have picked up multiple players in the draft that could be very good. I would try to trade Jennings and make Patterson the number 1 and although it would likely be unpopular I would swing a big deal for Peterson. If they grab Clowney or Bridgewater then watch out.

Houston.  They have a lot more pieces in place than Minnesota.  Minnesota pretty much just has Patterson and AP and that's it.

I would actually argue the exact opposite. The Vikings also have the best young safety in football, a stud of a kid for a kicker and Xavier Rhodes is going to be the real deal imo. Also Jarius Wright will be very good once he has a consistent QB to work with. The Vikings pieces are much younger, I'd take them in a heartbeat. The Texans stars are aging and their window is closing, if you take the HOU job you're gonna watch Foster walk this season and Andre Johnson soon there after, granted your in the same boat as the Vikings in QB... I'd take the younger team.

If I took the Houston job, I'd be the one pushing to get rid of Foster and Johnson, along with Schaub.

I do think the Vikings have a nice roster, though. I'm just not nearly as down on the Texans roster as a lot of people seem to be.

    • Not a problem. I should not have been snarky back either. We are all in on Richardson and should be a lot of fun competing these next few years. Colts have a sneaky great roster and should start getting the recognition as a true contender very soon!!  Go Colts
    • Of course.  But, an old man can dream.
    • Sorry for the snark.  It was unnecessary.  I just get a bit weary of the names Stroud, Caleb Williams, and all.
    • This isn't meant towards you in particular, but I'm just getting sick of that excuse every time Ballard doesn't sign someone. It's a way to take all the blame off the GM for not getting any FA to sign here without anyone being able to prove otherwise unless there's a report on twitter that confirms it.    @richard pallo said we were more connected to Diggs, and I remember hearing that, but I'm starting to get a little nervous about the secondary. There has to be a follow up move to the draft. I realize besides the 1st round Ballard got caught on the wrong side of some CB runs, but if we decided to go away from the secondary and strengthen other positions, then we have to use FA to grab a veteran for the short term.    This post may age poorly in a few days, but right now, the secondary is a clear weakness that needs to be addressed, and although I trust Ballard in the draft, I don't trust him in FA, especially from what he said in the pre-draft conference where he likes the secondary. He may truly believe he doesn't need a veteran to strengthen that group of young players.
    • We weren’t even sure Indy is trying to sign him. For all we know, Simmons has never even been contacted.
