Best Combination of Receivers

Coach Pagano in his press conference on Colts.com said we would use the combination of receivers that gives us the best chance of winning. The statement was made in reference to a question about DHB going forward.

Hopefully this means Brazil, Rogers and Rainey will see time on offense. Rogers and Rainey both have explosive ability that needs to be tapped.

I think it means they'll go TY and Fleener as Luck's main targets and try to mix in Brazill and Rogers together with DHB. It clearly shows he's not confident in trusting DHB - otherwise the answer would be he still is their first priority. They won't bench him, but they are going to look into mixing in the other guys more.

My thought was more flanker or slot so he could run reverses as well as catch passes.

God forbid we come up with a non telegraphed running play and put 2 RB's out there at the same time.

He was out there for at least one play.  So I think you're right, they're getting ready to use him out of the backfield.  I'm guessing it will be a lot like the Saints use Sproles.  He sets up as a RB but he's really a flanker.

 

Getting playmakers in space is always a good plan.

Sounds like Pagano has realized that even though DHB has been putting in some hard work, he isn't doing anything for the team in game situations.

I have no idea on how this guy even made it to the NFL period.
