what players could we have taken instead of Werner?  he seems to always be injured.

DeAndre Hopkins is basically Reggie Wayne Jr.

Xavier Rhodes is playing well

That being said, I think he will develop into a good player. Just unfortunate that we have so many guys getting hurt

dropping like flies is an understatement.  no excuses however.  it seems like the Patriots are always dealing with injuries.  They are undefeated and playing very well.  I hate to say next man up because I'm starting to toss-up in my mouth a little bit when I hear that, but............................

It's a football thing. I don't think the Colts have any more injuries than other teams.

will Carol who is an injury expert said a study done over the last 15 years showed the Colts have had more injuries than any other team in football over that span. Frankly makes all the winning we have done over that time more impressive.

Not all injuries are created equal. The Titans lost their QB for over a month, Packers lost starting LT before the season even started, Seahawks offensive line is a mess/Percy Harvin. It just gets old hearing this board whine as if other teams don't have to deal with the same issues.

Especially when our hated rival the Pats just lost one of there best players (Wilfork) for the season.

Actually, stats show that Indy is actually one of the most injury bitten teams, historically speaking

I don't know about the Will Carol study. Will have to look at it.

As for the AGL stat, that doesn't necessarily mean that the Colts have more players injured. It means injured players missed more games.

Maybe the Colts have had more injuries, or been more adversely affected by them. I know 2010 was ridiculous.

Keep in mind that number was starters only, meaning we were missing enough top guys for long enough to equal about 90 games missed to injury in a 16 game season. Pretty crazy.

Did some research on this injury.  Looks like they cannot fix / repair the actual torn ligament, eventually scar tissue will form and bridge the gap where the tear is and thus the 6 week+ recovery time.  They start out with crutches (no weight bearing), then migrate to a boot with limited pressure then move from there into special orthotics and such.  This injury leads to other symptoms and other foot problems but he's young and will be prescribed special supportive cleats providing optimal support for the ligament, he then should be good.  The best article I could find on it is below.  The NBA sees a lot of these, same numbers as ACL injuries. Get well

And I said it didn't seem good for him.

He's out for 4-6 weeks

I was right .. Again.

U just guessed. I could say that about any player that leaves the field....and be right at times. Or u had some inside information that u kept secret.

I have my sources..

None were certain at the time of my first post.. Just speculation..

Just had a gut feeling that it wasn't a good sign..

    • 3 straight losses for the Reds. They have their moments where they play well. But it’s time to be real. They aren’t a playoff team and will never be as long as the Castillinis own them and David Bell is manager.    De La Cruz is fun, but his career will be wasted on this team.
    • Am I reading this correct?   You think Ballard’s seat gets hot if the Colts don't win the AFC South?  Really?   So if the Colts don’t win the south but make the playoffs Ballard’s seat still gets hot?    Just making sure I understand your viewpoint.
    • Yes, yes he did. If you scroll back to old Pagano post you’ll see how much blame he got. I definitely hold Pagano is regards to letting Luck down on the offensive side of the ball. I also see the Houston Texans inevitably going down the same path.   D’joun Smith is who you’re thinking of.   Grigson is looked at as an overall bust and a terrible drafter so naturally the blame will be more widely accepted. There is no doubt things will be heating up under Ballards seat if anything less then winning the division is obtained this year. The QB position has been his Achilles heel. If Richardson is healthy this season I believe his roster will be very heavily evaluated with no excuses this year.
    • But you haven't learned the narrative this forum has been trying to tell you.   Frank Reich pounded his fists for Wentz, Ryan, Pryor, and all of the WRs that busted.   OTOH, Pagano never pounded his fist for TJ Green, or Bjoern Werner, or Trent Richardson, or that little small school cornerback that got canned before the season even started.     You see, the GM is only responsible for the bad players when it helps support the previous statements that the GM is bad, and the HC is responsible for the bad players when it helps support previous statement's that the GM is a genius.   You should know this by now and be falling in line accordingly.
