According to NFL.com reports Youtube sensation Harvard Rugland has gone 11 for 11 in game like practice situations including one for 58 yards. and even though he has looked great the Norwegian still apears to be a longshot to make the 53 man squad and beat out veteran David Akers.

 

If you were the Lions GM or Coach whop would you choose?

I think they may have.

 

My answer is Rugland also. I think they should keep Akers as a coach or something so he could coach him to become more nfl ready.

It sounds like a breakfast cereal for soccer goalies to me. MIColtsFan will probably vouch for me on that 1 given her girls that SW1 comically refers to as the "Soccer Assassins."

Exactly 21isSuperman. Akers had a nice NFL career, but to be kind, his clutch FG factor is now gone IMHO.

Seriously though, it's an awesome story- I'm really rooting for the dude to make it. I always like whenever somebody can make it to the NFL from outside the traditional football channel.
