32nd in the run game and 32nd in pass protection.

97 QB hits (4th most) and 58 sacks (Most in the league). Only allowed a 3.4 YPC from running backs (last in the league). http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&offensiveStatisticCategory=OFFENSIVE_LINE&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=PASSING_QBHIT&tabSeq=2&season=2012&role=TM&Submit=Go&archive=false&conference=null&defensiveStatisticCategory=null&qualified=false

32nd in adjusted sacks, and 32nd in adjusted rushing yards. While being 31st in power runs and dead last in stuffs. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/OL

Hehee  ..  Indy's OL was really bad....   mostly due to injury.      But even if health played out in the Colts favor they were still just a an average unit at best.

Last season

T   Justice

T   Costanzo

G   McGly

G   Reitz, Olson, Link....

C   SS and Shipley

This season

T  G Cherilus

T   Costanzo

G   Thomas

G   Thornton..   I think he gets it.

C   I wish Indy had kept Shipley but SS will probably get it again.   Would not be surprised to see Holmes starting soon.

Would be real nice if Ijalana could come through..  but I doubt it.

At any rate this is HUGE improvement.      Players that started last season will be decent backups.

Haven't heard much on the Ijalana front, but I'm hoping he is healthy this year and if so he would be a major bonus, he is very talented if his body can hold up...

Ijalana is mention on this list on this site as being on the bubble and Ijalana's ACL would be torn in a freak play, ending his season. Expectations were high entering his sophomore season in 2012, but those hopes would be dashed when Ijalana tore the same ACL in a no-contact drill on his first day after being cleared by doctors.

^^^^^

Talk about bad luck!!!!!

Yeah I agree....    Cardinals stats were wretched last year.  Hopefully Arians can turn them around.

The good news is that they grabbed a decent QB and they have some good wide receivers.

They are in a tough division but going 8 - 8 would be a very positive step.
