He already has a rapport with Luck, as Luck talked him into going to Stanford, instead of his father's alma mater OK State...He's a red shirt freshman this year..I can't wait to see him on the field next year....

I think the kid is 18.... he's redshirting at Stanford this year. They've got a boat load of very good running backs. But you'll see him play plenty next year -- maybe even start. Maybe.

The part about Luck convincing Sanders to attend Stanford is a bit of folklore or hyperbole.

When Barry visited, he walked around some of the campus with Andrew. He could see that Luck could walk the campus almost anonymously. No one made a fuss about Luck at Stanford. Why? Because it's a school with freakish over-achievers. No one is too impressed with anybody.

And that's very, very appealing to certain kids. They've been the Big Man on Campus at their H.S. and some are not all that comfortable with all that attention. They like being able to go someplace and blend in so they can just be a kid. Stanford is not for everyone. Some H.S. kids who were the BMOC on their campus -- love that -- and they want the same in college.

To each their own.

But that was Luck's roll in helping with Sanders. The coaching staff did a very nice job as well. And Barry made friends with lots of other Stanford players. Within the athletic department the saying is.... nobody recruits for Stanford better than our own players. Recruits show up for a visit, meet the current players and realize those kids are just like they are. And they want to be a part of that.

Oh, and the World Class academics and the value of a Stanford degree don't hurt either!

Nice looking RB, I like his acceleration and speed. Hard top tell for high schoolers but he looked big. I'd like to see us pick up a tail back of about 6" 215lbs. No more 5"9 190 lbers. If he can keep his speed and cutting ability, and pull it off against some higher quality defences then I can see him being very successful. And talk about getting a great namesake!

But in all seriousness I hope we don't still need a quality RB by the time he becomes eligible.

He's 5-11 190, so if he puts on some weight we could be looking at a future star!!

Through college he'd probably grow another inch and then bulk up a bit too. I think he'll probably end up being around 6" 205 around draft time. Perfect sized.

kid looks good, I can't wait to see what he can do against USC and ND. Hopefully we have shored up the OLine by the time he enters the draft. those jukes are nasty!

Awsome footage but if hes that good hopefully we wont have the pick high enough (unless acquired through trade) to get him. that would mean we wouldnt have made any progress and are ready to start over in the office.
