Bad news for Ja.Jenkins

Recommended Posts

More news is coming in on Jenkins and his continued off-the-field issues at N. Alabama even after he was dismissed from Florida. So much for rebuilding your image!

But, there is some silver lining. All of you guys on this board are screaming for him in the second, but it looks like he might be falling even further after team visits. So maybe u can hope for him in the 3rd.

The Breer article doesn't offer and new news (but it was a nice read for those interested in learning more about the J. Jenkins situation). Two sources saying he could fall around the 3rd isn't too convincing either. I'm not saying he won't fall to the 3rd, but I'm not thinking he will.

sorry, i wasn't trying to say the Breer article was breaking news, just citing for the people who don't know anything about it. The guys reporting on this have team sources within the organization and I have no reason to believe they are lying considering their history of reporting news from teams that turned out true... Just putting it out there. I totally buy that he'd fall to the 3rd. It's hard to be productive for your team when you aren't allowed to play. Not worth the investment.

I don't think the Lions have no standards. Suh isn't a thug like some think he loses his temper, but he seems like a genuinely nice and smart kid, and Fairley was a steal. That's it. Wouldn't us taking Jenkins be just like them drafting Fairley?

well I could see the relation between Fairley, 2nd round choice Leshoure and Jenkins with all the marijuana charges, but it was meant to be tongue in cheek. Didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelers.

I think the Pats would take him before us. They take troubled prospects and under BB they make them stars. Hernandez's stock dropped 2 rounds b/c of drugs, and now look at him. I think Brandon SPikes has a similar situation.

3rd round would be a steal, but I doubt it happens.

    • They were making lucky 3's all night. Divincenzo was shooting like Larry Bird. You know what I say, 1 lucky 3 (by them and they had several), deserves another (by us). If we get Game 4 we will win the series because our depth will continue to wear them down. Haliburton outplayed Brunson last night scoring 35, Brunson is getting tired, and they only go 7 deep and OG is out for the series it looks like, we go 10 deep. I don't see Divincenzo shooting like that again either.   As long as the REFS call it fairly, we have a chance. When Nembhard made that 3, Doris Burke sounded like she was hating life. She said in a low voice "so the tide is turning". Everyone outside of INDY wants NY to win because they are a big market, it is comical.    Pacers have now won 15 straight at home and are 4-0 in the Playoffs. What did everyone expect, that NY was just going waltz in here and take our lunch money. Not happening on our turf.
    • A big thanks to all that have provided updates! @stitches greatly appreciate yours.
    • That Nembhard 3 was one of the more terrifying late game sequences I can remember. He was all over the place last night, and when the shot clock got down to 8 and we still had the ball way out at the logo I told my son they were going to waste the possession. When he shot that 3 from back there I was ready to flip the table. But somehow it went. I do believe that was the 1 time out of 10 it would, though. I don’t want to see them run a possession like that late in a game again anytime soon. That was absolutely flirting with disaster. Hopefully it gave them the confidence they need to turn this series in their favor.    Hopefully Haliburton isn’t too dinged up. He was definitely hobbling after that weird ankle twist/roll in the second half and he wasn’t attacking with the charge he was before. Just in general across the board last night’s game seemed to take a toll physically. Plenty of hard spills in that one.
    • Listening to Dodds it sounds like Bean is definitely in the long term plans as a backup QB, not just a UDFA camp body. Exciting times in Colts nation. Also, really love the diverse personalities shining through in these interviews. Can see them flowing over and hopefully one day soon giving the team its own "it" factor. This year feels different
    • Latu has the right attitude for growth   Humility leads to growth and learning Arrogance leads to staying where you are................     I love this draft group   I STILL am concerned about FS, but it looks like they will analyze the position in camp and then make a decision
