I've been a Colts fan for a long time. I've seen the ups and downs of this organization from 1984 on. But what is makes me sick is that nobody believes in our team this year. I knew last year when Peyton wasn't going to be playing that we weren't going to have a quarterback at all. Because our back-ups sucked. I knew we would probably weren't going to win very many games and I was letting the season go. I knew we would get a lot of retecool about our team and I accepted that. But I also knew y
NFL 2012, the first time in NFL history 5 rookie Q B'S will open the season as starters. But, we only really care about one. Andrew has proven to be the "Real Deal" which sure sets us ahead of the " Do you know what you're gonna do" season we had last year. Rebuilding, I think not, our boys are lookin to win some games. Got your football snacks ready, your rabbits foot, pillow pet, bobble head, or all of the above. Strap into your favorite football chair, boys, start your engines. The New Indy a
The game tomorrow will bring so many memories back for me..... 2007 Cabo San Lucas - attending my little brother's wedding to capture it all with my camera. While we were scouting out areas to take pictures we came across a sign that said "NFL Playoff games tomorrow" - we jumped for joy and thought what fun it would be to see the games. We had our jerseys, by some stroke of luck, as we wanted to wear them, even while on vacation to honor our Colts. Luck would have it - we got to actually see the
Congratulations to the winner of the Caption This Contest! matgrif won the Andrew Luck autographed hat for this caption: "I didn't know Pro Football required TPS Reports" There were lots and lots of great captions. The following were in the final cut and win either a Colts Community Calendar or an Andrew Luck draft poster. (first come first serve). I will message the winners individually and ask for shipping name and address. Runners-up Name Caption Dan When they said they hoped I'd
Wow, you know the game tonight started out with a bang. Fireworks, smoke, Superbowl trophies, etc. Then the Cowboys punched the Giants in the mouth. The beating didn't stop either, as the Cowboys would throw a punch and then the refs would throw a flag.. This was so that they could ponder the meaning of life.. About 50 times!! The game was a mess. The Giants had no chance as the Cowboys looked to be on the verge of another score in the end. Sad day as I was rooting for the Giants, but it
I am ready for some football! Are you all? As hope that you all are ready. No more preseason. Not that I don't mind! But any football is better than no footbal! Hope you all are ready! NFL is Back!
If you have not heard it before, carpe diem is the latin phrase meaning to live for the day. In other words, take each day as it comes and live it to the fullest. So I am simply borrowing it and applying it to the Colts football season – to live for the day Sunday. Hence, Carpe (SUN)Diem. I fully buy into the concept that the most important game of the season is the next one. And this will especially hold true for the Colts this season. And it starts this Sunday with the game at Chicago. A
They will not be making their Debut in the next "TIDE" commercial according to our leader , Chuck. The O line, needs to keep the Blue and White's of Luck, Stanton, and, Harnish go to meetin clean. The laundry crew at the Shoe, has a little less.... to look forward to. Well, from the QB'S anyway...
The end of training camp and preseason officially over and the real thing beginning to start. I have some early observations. I like this team very much and I'm very excited for the season to start. I'm also a very big fan of coach Paganos. I think he's exactly what this team has needed. I know it's to early to tell but so far I'm also a big fan of Grigson. I like his moves but nobody really knows how these guys will turn out. We will just have to wait and see if his moves were right or not. Thi
As the Preseason goes in the books, here's where our COLTS stand: Praise for Luck: 94.5 % of the polls show #12 more likely to be successful than that guy in all those commercials. More wins as a rookie. The average is 6. Surprise team for 2012, deemed as talented , and, frustrating. Light on the defense, with Zibi, and, Bethea very busy. In the very UGLY rankings, COLTS pass the Rams, but, are still nippin the heels of the Black and Silver coming in at #28. The bigger in Texas thinkers say "

I will be going over our first 3 rounds. I think that we will end up with a 3-13 record and the 2nd pick in the draft. A team will want Logan Thomas and we will get 3 future first's and a second. We will be at the 6th pick in the draft. We should trade down yet again, this time to 10, and pick up another second. With this pick, we choose Chance Warmack, OG Alabama. Warmack is a beast!! He completely dominated the Michigan defensive line and I don't think his man made a tackle in the game. He had
Two days away from the regular season!!! I have never been able to watch Football as a game. Growing up on the streets it always seemed that we were at war, watching someone get gunned down. Being robbed at gun point.. Football became a way for us to let our emotions out. So I watch the Colts like they are their own army. Going from town to town, wearing their cuts and defending their name and team. I even scream at the TV, the Refs, our coach LOL.. I love my team, and will stick with th
QB- was really impressed with all 3, glad Harnish made the cut RB- Karim looked pretty good, but you can only carry so many RB's, didn't see much of Moore or Carter TE- really good group, Jones made some plays and looked very good WR- didn't think we would keep 6 (maybe due to Collie's situation) would have been interesting to see if we kept Whalen or Adams, had Whalen not got injured OL- we will see............. DE/DT- Redding needs to stay healthy, he's a big key to the D-line NT- Johnson is
The Colts won last night, and I noticed that we didn't do terrible this preseason.. 2-2 isn't bad at all considering it's all a giant practice, competition being to make it on the team or to move up a string. I am truly excited to see how the Colts do this year in the regular season. It's very possible that Luck takes us all the way, like Big Ben style, first year and what not. The odds are against it, however. We are rebuilding. I think the main goal should be having a season better than .5
Finally it is the final preseason week. Next week, on a rare Wednesday the 2012 NFL season kicks off. As glad that the preseason games are getting ready to be gone. So that now we can focus on what the NFL Is saying...BACK TO FOOTBALL!!
We had a nice long ride with the great ol' Peyton Manning.. I was sad to see him go but realized that missing that first game in 2010 must have hurt Manning.. He would need a change if and when he returned. I waited for months to see the draft, the whole year was bent on getting that first round pick.. Would we have been better with the number two pick, with RG3? It is too late now.. We have drafted Andrew Luck, there has been a change of guard. It's a new year, a new coaching staff, a ne

It's LeBron being LeBron. I have never been a fan of his for many reasons. He looks like a decent family man and takes great care of his kids + has never been in trouble with the law so I respect him for that - he is also a Great Basketball player, best today. Having said that his ego is outrageous, he left Cleveland in his prime because he couldn't win a Championship. Peyton Manning for example never thought about leaving Indy because he couldn't win for years against the Pats and Steelers in
Yes, that is a fair point some individuals just like to stir the pot & cause controversy & mayhem simply because their life has not turned out as well as they wish it had. Like it's somebody's else's fault that they don't make enough money or have a pretty girlfriend or any girlfriend for that matter.
Look, I'm not trying to minimize any fatality white, black, male, or female & I know that being a police officer is not an easy job. I get that. I just wanna get to an atmo
I am getting ready to get off work so I will have to respond to your Post tomorrow in more detail but all great points. Racism will probably never go away unfortunately as there are just people in this world that are ignorant and violent. I am not sure how anyone can solve some of the violence talking place. It just seems to get worse and worse with groups of people getting shot in night clubs, theaters, etc. for no reason. White cops aren't doing themselves any favors either by shooting unarmed
Thank you CBE for your response to my blog entry. I know how busy peoples daily lives are so I am grateful for feedback & different points of view on this subject matter.
Max Kellerman on ESPN 'First Take' has made the intriguing argument that in America anyway the Natl. Anthem standing up during it is a mandatory gesture of compliance as opposed to a voluntary one where dissent is frowned upon & even called out publicly if you refuse to stand up while the Star Spangled Bann
Here's my short take on Colin and what is going on: I have no problem with people protesting about something they believe in or serious matters like racism, that is everyone's right to do so. Where I have the problem is dissing the American flag. It doesn't accomplish anything and it really gets many people to dislike you and question why you are doing that. To me it's dissing the Military and the USA when you don't acknowledge the flag. All you are doing is drawing negative attention to yoursel
I hope you're hanging in there brother as well as can be expected given such heart wrenching circumstances. Miss you man. I'm here if you need me. God bless, my friend.
YSGC,
Thank you for being brave enough to share such personal information about the loss of your beloved father. That took a tremendous amount of courage on your part.
Naturally, that void in your life will never be filled of course, but this line made me smile:
"He insisted we bury him in his Colts gear" Awesome!
When are people going to realize that the offensive line talent in last year's draft, outside of La'ell Collins, just wasn't that good? Sure we could've used a couple of picks on some mediocre o-line talent, and people would be right here, with their 20/20 hindsight, saying that they were terrible picks, and that Grigson should be fired.
Instead, we took a WR. People didn't like the pick, as the Colts allegedly were already "stacked at WR." Well, fast forward to this year: Johnson is
