I've been away for a while from my blog as have been busy to start "new era2 at home. As major operations around the house are over I can pay more time to forum and my blog too. However summer Olympic Games in London ruling the sports life nowadays, preseason has already started in NFL which means end of football-fast for the fans. By signing Andrew Luck (and all other rookies) new era has officially begun at Colts. Ship is loaded with sailors, pilot, first mates, captain, commander, and sets sa
As Andrew Luck waits for his debut on Sunday, guess the waiting for one rookie to the NFL is over. She makes her first appearance on Thursday night in Primetime. Shannon Eastin will be blowing her whistle as the replacement line judge when the Chargers , and Packers face off in San Diego. Due to the " Officials Lock out" looks like " THE REPLACEMENTS" will be gettin a chance to step in..... No woman has ever officiated an NFL game. "Roger Goodell" says " I am confident they'll do a great job".

Glad that the fan that had the Steelers uniform. Was a good sport about it. And that it ended in good fun. Don't even want to imagine what or how it would had ended badly. Had that not ended in good fun or being a good sport. Glad that all ended well.
The days of frustration with the " Political Type" indirect answers given by Caldwell regarding the COLTS, has come to a screeching halt. With the grand entrance by the Hum V parade on Sat ( by one who shall remain name -less) with a salute, and , a " Reporting for duty sir" Pagano did'nt miss a beat. " I set the bar, and, I don't mean low". Nice to hear, Chuck. As far as the rebuilding thing... DON'T EVER SAY THAT.... ( not where Coach can hear ya) Oh, and the media circus around the Jet's , ai
Just saw on social media that a Steeler fan was told by the head coach of all things that he either wears a Luck jersey or he gets escorted out! I cant even begin to explain all the things wrong with that! First this is America, and people can wear whatever they want, and not have to worry about getting kicked out. I am a diehard Steeler fan, Pirate fan, Penguin fan, and panther fan, and I have been to camps and games and have seen countless people wearing their favorite teams jersys, and maybe
Doesn't it seem plausible that the insane media mixed with the fanatical/crazy fans have taken the Andrew Luck Phenomena to truly unreachable heights that the subject (Mr.Luck) seemingly ignores. Is he really this impervious to the constant comparisons to #18 or the man only known as RGIII? Can he happily search through his $2.00 flip phone looking for the number of the Jimmy Johns in Anderson he had deliver to his AU dorm room last night oblivious to the fact that the city of Indianapolis will
And so training camp begins. " I think what impressed me the most was his decision making, and the lack of indecisivness". Pretty encouraging words from the usually reserved, and, quiet Tony Dungy while he was passin through Indy this past weekend. On Saturday night during the " Traditional, Rookie sing a song" Luck sang " Country Roads", with a " duet " attempt by Pat McAfee. "It was awful," Pagano said. "I'm glad he's not doing that for a living because he wouldn't have gotten the signi

Before I begin this little write-up, I’d like to make something known. I realize that a lot of our fan base has grown tired of the Peyton Manning-Andrew Luck comparisons but I truly think people don’t realize just how similar they really are. This will be a 2-3 part series. I say this because I am not sure how much I will include in the next one. So without further ado, I give you a Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck comparison that may have you realize just how lucky of a franchise (no pun intended
Whether it is very hot and in the sweat. And also if it rains. You will see that the team has their fans. No matter what. And that their fans are very loyal. Through both thick and thin. Indy is one of the most fan based NFL cities in the nation!
Have enough money for lunch at McDonalds? Then you have enough to pay for parking at Anderson college! Traning camp open to the public starts tomorrow. Bring your Colts stuff: new, old, or just plain weird, to be signed by Colts players. Get to the practices early, and stay late to get all the latest signatures from your favorite players. Ladies this is your opportunity to get that signature you are looking for. It's an experience like no other! Remember you don't have to be a guy to be a f
Number 29 we sure missed you around the 4th of March when you went to New England!! Now , not so much. Per the Pat's camp, seems like someone just gave up at conditioning training. Looking for a new home?? We wish you luck, Joe Addai. Thanks for the memories.....

Training camp time once again, anticipation, dedication, and, the dream of a great season! The fans have been lined up in Denver since 5 am, just to catch a glimpse of " You know Who". The Jets are puttin on extra security for the " Mob expected to land". The Pac is back, with a multitude of diehards, expected to exceed over 100,000 for the practice activities. And then there's the COLTS fans. They say we're loyal, but, bitter.... I look forward to the massive march that will envelope Anderson
One of the reasons I did part, one was setting up , part 2. A new era has begun in Coltsland, whether you agree/like it or not ( and I am on board with there was no excuse for what Irsay did-NONE-ZERO-ZILCH!) It's probably not going to change because I don't like it. Which brings us to Andrew Luck....I ranked Peyton #3 on my all-time list ( with the possibility of moving up) the only drawback was lack of championships, compared to those above him, fair nor not, that's the way I see it. If some
In the past, are some great, and, not so great events. The first 2 years on the field we love to remember, average of 11 yards per carry. The part to forget is: 2 severe concussions. Number 17 , we sure are looking forward to some great things from you this year!! With Luck as your passer, the yards will soon be piling up. Now piling up, there's a word for you. As a WR in the NFL who gets 1.308 mil..... Austin, you deserve a payday, and not the one in the wrapper.....
In light and wake of the CO tragedy in Auora, we need to realize. That it is not guns but the people that DO THE SHOOTING that are at fault. As it is how you use a gun. Whether good or bad! As I can't stand being around guns and that even toy guns make me skirmish. Ask AZ in 2011, VT in 2007, or Columbine in 1999. Thoughts and prayers are with those that lost loved ones on Thursday night. Twelve dead and fifty-nine wounded. Let's remember them and not the person that did it.
Sometimes people get frustrated with each other here and sometimes people will call each other trolls. A troll is someone who is here only to cause frustration and to provoke an emotional response. But, just because you get emotional, does not mean that they are a troll. Football fans are passionate and sometimes not very nice. But just because they might make you frustrated or angry does not mean that they are not also a fan. I came across an interesting blog about this today: http://www.blog
R.G III 's people ironed out his contract @ 4 yr 21.1 million. The shadow of more than 6 wins, now will follow him all season. Being a focused QB, probably not going to trip him up. Andrew, no worries. Even though this is his management firms first football contract, looks like a deal is wrapping up. 49 Days til Kick off....
To begin with, there is no right answer, it's an opinion. There are 2 factors, stats and winning. Winning is the ultimate guage, but this is a team sport and the Qb is only 1 player and some of his success or lack of, depends on his supporting cast (players, coaches, owner, etc). 1. JOHNNY UNITAS-Unitas had the stats, when he retired, he held almost every passing record in the books, the game has changed and many of those records have been surpassed, which takes nothing away from what he did and w
It's LeBron being LeBron. I have never been a fan of his for many reasons. He looks like a decent family man and takes great care of his kids + has never been in trouble with the law so I respect him for that - he is also a Great Basketball player, best today. Having said that his ego is outrageous, he left Cleveland in his prime because he couldn't win a Championship. Peyton Manning for example never thought about leaving Indy because he couldn't win for years against the Pats and Steelers in
Yes, that is a fair point some individuals just like to stir the pot & cause controversy & mayhem simply because their life has not turned out as well as they wish it had. Like it's somebody's else's fault that they don't make enough money or have a pretty girlfriend or any girlfriend for that matter.
Look, I'm not trying to minimize any fatality white, black, male, or female & I know that being a police officer is not an easy job. I get that. I just wanna get to an atmo
I am getting ready to get off work so I will have to respond to your Post tomorrow in more detail but all great points. Racism will probably never go away unfortunately as there are just people in this world that are ignorant and violent. I am not sure how anyone can solve some of the violence talking place. It just seems to get worse and worse with groups of people getting shot in night clubs, theaters, etc. for no reason. White cops aren't doing themselves any favors either by shooting unarmed
Thank you CBE for your response to my blog entry. I know how busy peoples daily lives are so I am grateful for feedback & different points of view on this subject matter.
Max Kellerman on ESPN 'First Take' has made the intriguing argument that in America anyway the Natl. Anthem standing up during it is a mandatory gesture of compliance as opposed to a voluntary one where dissent is frowned upon & even called out publicly if you refuse to stand up while the Star Spangled Bann
Here's my short take on Colin and what is going on: I have no problem with people protesting about something they believe in or serious matters like racism, that is everyone's right to do so. Where I have the problem is dissing the American flag. It doesn't accomplish anything and it really gets many people to dislike you and question why you are doing that. To me it's dissing the Military and the USA when you don't acknowledge the flag. All you are doing is drawing negative attention to yoursel
I hope you're hanging in there brother as well as can be expected given such heart wrenching circumstances. Miss you man. I'm here if you need me. God bless, my friend.
YSGC,
Thank you for being brave enough to share such personal information about the loss of your beloved father. That took a tremendous amount of courage on your part.
Naturally, that void in your life will never be filled of course, but this line made me smile:
"He insisted we bury him in his Colts gear" Awesome!
When are people going to realize that the offensive line talent in last year's draft, outside of La'ell Collins, just wasn't that good? Sure we could've used a couple of picks on some mediocre o-line talent, and people would be right here, with their 20/20 hindsight, saying that they were terrible picks, and that Grigson should be fired.
Instead, we took a WR. People didn't like the pick, as the Colts allegedly were already "stacked at WR." Well, fast forward to this year: Johnson is
