Best QB ever-part 2

COLTS7

One of the reasons I did part, one was setting up , part 2. A new era has begun in Coltsland, whether you agree/like it or not ( and I am on board with there was no excuse for what Irsay did-NONE-ZERO-ZILCH!) It's probably not going to change because I don't like it. Which brings us to Andrew Luck....I ranked Peyton #3 on my all-time list ( with the possibility of moving up) the only drawback was lack of championships, compared to those above him, fair nor not, that's the way I see it.

If someone wanted to try to list the reasons Peyton was so great, it would be an extensive list, I think the things that seperate avg from good and good from great and great from all time best, is often those intangibles that are hard to guage. They must be very driven to excell and be the best and be willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that success, they must be unselfish and play for the team and not stats. I think it's helps to be humble and at least attempt to be just another player

, being an oustanding person isn't a requirment but it does help make the player, much more appealing.

What I see from Andrew Luck is all of the things that made Peyton so great, he has all of them and then some and he also has them at a higher, more developed stage than Peyton did , coming in. There are many factors that determine how great a player will become, the physical ability, the mental toughness, the desire,etc......I see Luck as a Peyton with much more athletic ability and a more refined overall package. that's kinda scary when you think about it, it's like Luck is a Peyton clone, just tweaked and a few mimor adjustments were made........... on paper, he is the PERFECT QB, he has everything that is needed to be the best this game has ever seen, with 1 exception.............it's still a team game and his sucess will be determined by those around him, he will have an oustanding career , based soley on his remarkable talent, now much sucess will be determined by Grigson, Pagano and his teamates, the moves made seem to be good moves, even if they were not needed and time will tell..............15 years from now ( after he is cut and we move on-sorry, had to add that since we now have a platform to follow) Luck will be viewed as , at least, one of the all time best, if he gets the support needed, he could very well.................BE THE BEST -EVER!

Unitas-Manning-Luck, maybe......... someday will be ranked as the 3 best QB's ever!! pretty cool.........honorable mention-Bert Jones, who probably had more talent than all 3 of them, but played with a linebacker mentality, which led to a short-injury filled career.

I have to agree with you 100% Ken! I have never seen a QB that reminded me as much of number 18.

I hope that under the tutelage of Bruce Arians and to some extent Tom Moore we will see flashes early and often.

I will always miss the mastery of the line of scrimmage that Peyton had/has, but I guess we can see some Bronco games and hope he remains healthy!!
