PRIOR TO COMING TO THE COLTS IN 2006, OUR BELOVED KICKER GOT HIS START WITH " THE AMSTERDAM ADMIRALS" OF NFL EUROPE. HE HAS A RECORD BREAKING 5 SUPERBOWL'S, WITH 4 WINS! LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE RECORD BREAKING ACTION FROM ADAM THIS 2012 SEASON. ADAM, WE SALUTE YOU!!!
Hey everyone, it's coltsguy511 and I'm back with my first 2013 Mock Draft and the Colts first five picks. I will give my evaluation on the Colts picks. This mock draft is in the case that the Colts have the #1 overall pick and trade out. In this mock trade the Colts receive 3 first rounders and 2 second rounders. 1: Minnesota Vikings (From Colts): Logan Thomas, QB, Virginia Tech 2: Miami Dolphins: Matt Barkley, QB, USC 3: Cleveland Brown: Robert Woods, WR, USC 4: St. Louis Rams: Keenan Allen, WR
The Original LT aka Lawrence Taylor is so broke. That he can not make payments along with troubled criminal past. As he is selling not just one but two Super Bowl rings. Possibly to pay his criminal defense team. As he is facing some criminal charges. Really sad story for him!
DRUM ROLL AND CONGRATULATIONS GO OUT TO THE RECORD BREAKING SEASON PERFORMANCE OF THE SILVER AND BLACK IN 2011. BETWEEN THE HOLDING DURING THE 2ND HALF KICK OFF, AND, THE PERSONAL FOULS, AS WELL AS MANY OTHER TASTY PENALTIES THE OAKLAND RAIDERS BECAME THE MOST PENALIZED TEAM TO DATE IN THE NFL @ 163. HISTORY SAYS RECORDS ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN. I AM SURE THE COLTS, NEVER WANT TO TOPPLE THIS ONE.
As we aproach the 2012 NFL season, the trend towards being as explosive on offense as possible has been the focus of many teams as of late. For the younger generation, the beginning of this trend began with the Rams of the late 90s which featured HOF RB Marshall Faulk, QB Kurt Warner, WRs Isaac Bruce, Az-Zahir Hakim and Torry Holt. They were dubbed the nickname "The Greatest Show on Turf" and formed the nucleus of the only team in NFL history to score 500+ points in 3 consecutive seasons. Mike M
I just kind of want to get a feel of everyone's collective feeling on our defensive coordinator Greg Manusky. Not many Colts fans have been particularly excited about him being the new coordinator, and I'm a little skeptical myself, but I just want to see what everyone else thinks. Do you think Grigson really even wants him there, because we know for a fact that the main reason he is here is because Pagano is friends with him, and also because of the fact that he was pretty much our second optio
MANNING RETURNED TO CIRCLE CITY TO HOST THE "CELEBRATION OF CARING " GALA FOR THE PEYTON MANNING CHILDRENS HOSPITAL @ ST VINCENT. WHEN ASKED ABOUT LUCK, HE HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY " I AM HAPPY FOR HIM, HE'S A GOOD KID, REMINDS ME OF THE EXCITEMENT I HAD AS A ROOKIE COMING INTO THE LEAGUE" , " I WISH HIM NOTHING BUT THE BEST". EVEN THOUGH THE COLT'S SHIP HAS SAILED ON WITHOUT PEYTON, HE IS GLAD JUST TO HAVE A TICKET TO RIDE....
It was January 17th, 1971. As an 11 year old smallish kid from a no sports family who was growing up in a 97 population town, Superbowl V was a pretty good way to see my first football game at the home of our families friends. I instantly fell in love with the game...and the horseshoe on the helmet. Since then, I have been a Colt fan and I feel truly blessed to have chosen such a great sport and such a fine franchise. As I began to watch the game, I listened to others talk about the game and I q
LOOKS LIKE THE USE OF THE PRIVATE JET BY MR IRSAY TO HELP # 12 GET BACK AND FORTH TO SCHOOL IN THIS TRANSITION PERIOD HAS BEEN GOUNDED BY THE NFL. NO WORRIES, LOOKS LIKE THE ONLY THING THAT WILL BE FLYING FOR LUCK, WILL BE THE PIGSKIN. BETTER LUCK , LATER ON IN THE SEASON! GO COLTS!!
With the 2012 NFL draft now behind us, there's no question the top priority for the Colts was surrounding their new signal caller with talent to help him develop at the next level. This goes along with the current trend taking place in the NFL with teams loading up on offense while neglecting the defense. The only teams that have kinda been the exceptions to the rule are the NY Giants, and the Pittsburgh Steelers of late. Of the last four SB winning teams (Giants, Packers, Steelers, and Colts),
In a different way to preview the NFL teams post-draft, I thought maybe I can apply a stock market concept into evaluating the NFL. Each team is listed, by division; in the order of roster strength with a short summary of the good, bad and my take of each team so far this offseason (post-draft). Then the ‘Analyst' (aka ME) rate each team based on how each team finished the 2011 regular season and what they have accomplished thus far this off-season in improving their team. Then I will advise you
Do you all watch the tv season? As the tv season is wrapping up. February, May, and November are the Sweeps period. May is usually the finale period. What shows are you watching in finales? As I love "Survivor." Would love to hear from you all!
Hey, everyone it's coltsguy511 and I'm back with post #2. Todays topic is "2013 Free Agency". I will be going over the players that are available and those we could make a play for. Next years free agency is heavy on WR's and OT's. The top players at WR are Mike Wallace, Greg Jennings, Dwayne Bowe, Desean Jackson, and Steve Smith (STL one). I think that Greg Jennings and Dwayne Bowe are the only ones who will be resigned. So that leaves Steve Smith, Mike Wallace, Desean Jackson. Take out Desean
What's up everybody! This is coltsguy511 looking in on The Future. This is my first post and I know that I will be wrong half of the time on these blogs, but it's always fun to speculate and look into The Future. OK so today's topic is "The 2013 Draft". I know that in this years draft was mainly offensive players, so that we could give our QB of the future some weapons. I (and many other people) am under the impression that we'll draft defensive players next year. But I also think that we'll i
I always enjoy checking out all the teams drafts' and seeing who I think did well............or not. The 1 team that really stood out in my view was the Bengals, not known as a team that usually excells.... Bengals: it doesn't hurt to have 2 #1 picks 1- Dre Kirkpatrick- outstanding CB 1- Kevin Zeitler-one of the top G's 2- Devon still-a first rounder on most boards 3- Mohammed Sanu- really slid down, great value 3- Brandon Thompson- solid DT 4- Orson Charles-some ranked him above Fleener and All
Certainly by now it's old news that the Colts have their quarterback of the future. Since it was determined that they would have the number one pick, and that Andrew Luck would be declaring for the draft, it was all but a foregone conclusion that Andrew would be that number one pick. Most -- if not all -- of us have read countless reports and analysis on Andrew's game, his collegiate career and his potential impact in the NFL. In other words, Colts fans should know by now what they're getting.
This gonna be an exceptional entry, as today's subject isn't the Colts, or not entirely. Miami Dolphins won SB with an extraordinary, outstanding, 100% performance in 1973. That was the only time, when an NFL team won an SB with a "faultless" season. And I think, this record gonna be untouched for good, if there will ever be an other team being able to repeat this record. In 2009, Colts was at 14-0, when Caldwell's decided to rest his starters. Many Colts' fan thought he let slip a 19-0 season.T
THE TOP 100 PLAYER RANKINGS CONTINUE TO ROLL IN. 286 CAREER TACKLES, 102.5 SACKS, 43 FORCED FUMBLES. THAT PUTS OUR BELOVED 93 @ 89TH AS RANKED BY THE PLAYERS?? 93 IN INDY YOU ARE #1 IN OUR BOOK!!!
In an earlier blog I discussed the punishments handed down by Commish Goodell to the coaches and the Saint organization for the participation and condonement of what is The Bounty Scandal. I fully support and agree with said punishments for many reasons but the main reason being this: I find it dispicible and unethical to place a sum of money on injuring another human being...especially when these men are supposed to be professionals at the game of football. You should not have to injure someo
Really sad about what happened to him. As he has had some personal problems in the past. Thoughts and prayers are with his three children and family. As they are grieving in private. Grew up with him from the Chargers. Really a great player and seemed to be a good man. Despite all that he has been through.
THE EYE OF THE STORM HAS PASSED AND IN THE WAKE HERE WE GO.... SUSPENSIONS FUJUITA, SMITH 4 GAMES, HARGROVE 8 GAMES, VILMA 1 YEAR. IS THIS THE END, OR, THE BEGINNING?? WHEN THE FLOOD DRAINS WHAT ELSE WILL WE FIND... AND SO IT GOES.
It's LeBron being LeBron. I have never been a fan of his for many reasons. He looks like a decent family man and takes great care of his kids + has never been in trouble with the law so I respect him for that - he is also a Great Basketball player, best today. Having said that his ego is outrageous, he left Cleveland in his prime because he couldn't win a Championship. Peyton Manning for example never thought about leaving Indy because he couldn't win for years against the Pats and Steelers in
Yes, that is a fair point some individuals just like to stir the pot & cause controversy & mayhem simply because their life has not turned out as well as they wish it had. Like it's somebody's else's fault that they don't make enough money or have a pretty girlfriend or any girlfriend for that matter.
Look, I'm not trying to minimize any fatality white, black, male, or female & I know that being a police officer is not an easy job. I get that. I just wanna get to an atmo
I am getting ready to get off work so I will have to respond to your Post tomorrow in more detail but all great points. Racism will probably never go away unfortunately as there are just people in this world that are ignorant and violent. I am not sure how anyone can solve some of the violence talking place. It just seems to get worse and worse with groups of people getting shot in night clubs, theaters, etc. for no reason. White cops aren't doing themselves any favors either by shooting unarmed
Thank you CBE for your response to my blog entry. I know how busy peoples daily lives are so I am grateful for feedback & different points of view on this subject matter.
Max Kellerman on ESPN 'First Take' has made the intriguing argument that in America anyway the Natl. Anthem standing up during it is a mandatory gesture of compliance as opposed to a voluntary one where dissent is frowned upon & even called out publicly if you refuse to stand up while the Star Spangled Bann
Here's my short take on Colin and what is going on: I have no problem with people protesting about something they believe in or serious matters like racism, that is everyone's right to do so. Where I have the problem is dissing the American flag. It doesn't accomplish anything and it really gets many people to dislike you and question why you are doing that. To me it's dissing the Military and the USA when you don't acknowledge the flag. All you are doing is drawing negative attention to yoursel
I hope you're hanging in there brother as well as can be expected given such heart wrenching circumstances. Miss you man. I'm here if you need me. God bless, my friend.
YSGC,
Thank you for being brave enough to share such personal information about the loss of your beloved father. That took a tremendous amount of courage on your part.
Naturally, that void in your life will never be filled of course, but this line made me smile:
"He insisted we bury him in his Colts gear" Awesome!
When are people going to realize that the offensive line talent in last year's draft, outside of La'ell Collins, just wasn't that good? Sure we could've used a couple of picks on some mediocre o-line talent, and people would be right here, with their 20/20 hindsight, saying that they were terrible picks, and that Grigson should be fired.
Instead, we took a WR. People didn't like the pick, as the Colts allegedly were already "stacked at WR." Well, fast forward to this year: Johnson is
