What's up everybody! This is coltsguy511 looking in on The Future. This is my first post and I know that I will be wrong half of the time on these blogs, but it's always fun to speculate and look into The Future. OK so today's topic is "The 2013 Draft".
I know that in this years draft was mainly offensive players, so that we could give our QB of the future some weapons. I (and many other people) am under the impression that we'll draft defensive players next year. But I also think that we'll invest in one Lucky player's protection. As you know our O-Line, until proven otherwise is not very good. So I think that we should get a guard in the second or third round next year. At the moment the leading candidates are 6-3 320lb Chance Warmack from 'Bama, 6-3 310lb Jonathan Cooper from UNC, and 6-5 302lb Barret Jones from 'Bama (If he falls to us). They could provide that interior Run Blocking that we very much need and help protect Luck.
Next year the first round is anyones guess. We could draft OLB Jarvis Jones, ILB Manti Te'o, OT D.J. Fluker, CB David Amerson, WR Robert Woods, or DT Star Lotuleilei. I personally feel that if we have the first pick, we should trade down and pick up Manti Te'o. He could be the corner stone for our defense for years to come. Then again we could pick none of the players mentioned above. We have no way to tell. It's The Future and we never know what coming. Until next time, this is coltsguy511.
