Football--haha! Sorry, you knew that didn't you?
Other than football, I like being outdoors (especially in the Spring and Fall when temperatures are perfect). I keep busy outside of work on my farm where I have between 30 and 40 head of cattle and half a dozen pigs. (Nothing like raising your own meat! So much better than what huge chain stores offer.)
When I'm not working on the farm, I'm playing with my niece and nephews. Family is a big deal to me.

A favorite quote of mine is:
"Don't be afraid to go after what you want to do and who you want to be. But don't be afraid to be willing to pay the price." --Lane Frost

  1. Tough loss today. There is much to be picked apart for improvement, but ever the optimist I am going to say as a football fan there was much to be excited about as well. TY Hilton is going to be a heck of an asset (we saw a glimpse today), Ballard is indeed going to be a beast of a player, Mathis is going to excel in our new D (as I predicted), I LOVE Cory Redding and the asset he is, Lefeged is great on Special Teams, our O-line while not complete is well on its way (with a few additions/im...

additions/improvements) to being something great, and our QB Andrew--WOW! All I have to say is 50 on the ground yards AND a head about him in the last 45 sec of the game that no other rookie can boast. There is no doubt we made the right decision in #12. Much to be excited about fellow fans, let's not be discouraged!

Yes, I agree CP11. It would have been nice to cap Edge's induction into the Colts HOF Induction Ceremony with a win today, but that still doesn't detract from James's incredible NFL career and professional legacy IMO buddy. :)

      BrentMc11

I am with you CP11....staying optimistic. Saints 0-3, NE 1-2....we should have won this game, but there were positives in every phase of the game. Bye week...try and get healthy...come back with a tough one against the Pack. And Edge is in the ring of Honor :)

  2. Geared up and ready for game day tomorrow :) All day in Indy cheering on our boys = perfection...a W would make it priceless!

Do you have your Edge jersey on buddy? I feel so badly....I have not spelled his first name correctly anywhere....it Googles win=the 1 r and two...I feel horrible!

Brent I had a BLAST today! Too bad we lost (a little frustrated w/ our D and a LOT frustrated w/ the second rate refereeing we had to witness today--and I'm not one to complain about the refing in a loss), but overall it was good and I saw good things from our guys...more on that to come...I do not have a #32 jersey, but it was great to get to witness The Edge inducted today. Well deserved indeed!

  3. Loving that the icing on my cake on Sunday while I will be at LOS is The Edge getting inducted into the Ring of Honor. It's gonna be a great Sunday for sure!

NICE! Love Edge, miss Edge. Enjoy!

  4. I saw promise today. Definitely not as ugly as it could have been or as some said it would be. My chin is nowhere near down, nor should any of our player's. We have a better idea of what specifically needs improving, now it's time to correct those mistakes and go get 'em next week. Remember, we're still BUILDING the monster, it isn't BUILT yet. In time fellow fans, in time. GO COLTS!

Great thoughts CP11! Some here announce Doomsday. This is the first year for a new team, there will be tough times periodically. GO COLTS!

I was glad to see the Colts make a game of it.. some impressive glimmers with lots of room for improvement, but overall not bad, not bad. Get those mistakes under control and look out!

      BrentMc11

This team has zero quit....zero. There were positives to take away from all three phases of the game....Build the Monster......'not yet built' This team will get better....if we have any players left :(

  5. tough pill to swallow watchin the Cowboys win last night...anyone but the Cowboys...ug!

I can't stand that they call them "America's Team." It gets me everytime! I'm w/ ya SW1.

Brent, you're right. The Giants made way too many mistakes to win the game. Plus, we all know they end seasons better than they start them (the Giants).

Now with Reitz oout for Sunday...the Link and Olsen stuff is up and going again.... for us.....I am rooting for the Colts even if SW and I are on the line....:)

There we many good positives from today. I'm pretty pleased with what I saw. Some improvements to make, but definitely the start of something good here...

  6. Sad to see him go. Thank you Snow from the bottom of this Colts fan's heart. You are one (in my book) a great player and will be missed.
  7. ready to go hunting... ...BEAR hunting! Time to Soldier up! (And we might have a little Luck on our side ;) )

      BrentMc11

OK...thought I was going to have to get with my friends in the FBI to find CP11's status in the Witness Protection Program! I will go hunting Bears with all of my Colt friends! Good to hear from you CP11!!

    4. ColtsPRIDE11

      ColtsPRIDE11

haha!! Brent you made me literally laugh out loud! I'm ready for this Bear hunt and I'm confident that our Colts are too. I can't wait to see the game unfold. I liked what I saw out of so many positions during preseason, and honestly think this monster is stronger than the rest of the NFL will give it credit for. I'm ready to shock the world!
  8. I'm liking what I'm seeing out of Ballard. He seems rock solid, and he doesn't shy away or give up on the run when he encounters the oposition. He seems huge for his position (although he really isn't. I've come to the conclusion that it's because of how he plays--fearless). Legs the size of tree trunks--they (IMO) could rival MJD's. Well anyways, you get the idea. I like the guy, and see a bright future ahead. Thoughts from the rest of the Colts faithful?
  9. Reggie's hope/prediction to "shock the world" seems more like reality to me :) LOVING what I'm seeing so far! SO glad it's football season...our monster is about to be released COLTS NATION! Are you ready?? :)

Sorry guys, I haven't been on since I posted this, but it is good to know that my forum friends are seeing what I'm seeing! I could watch Reggie play all day every day. I'm PUMPED about what I'm seeing from both our O-line and D-line--wheweeee! Not to mention the QB position is looking strong all the way through. Ballard is a BEAST! And I like we're (coaching staff) being extra precautionary with the boys by pulling Collie, Redding, and Mathis. Gotta have...

Oh and Brent, glad I could help buddy!

  10. well...after a few weeks away to focus on trying to sort out this messy thing called life (not exactly successful I might add but ok), I decided I missed my Forum friends and so, here I am! Although from some of the statuses and comments I've read, maybe it's not good to be back???

  11. Well friends, I will be signing off for a while. Too much going on btwn work and personal life. Gotta get things in order. I should be back for preseason action.

  12. I forgot to say earlier that when I heard the Edge was going into the Ring of Honor I knew I had to highlight him for a week or so. I loved watching good ole #32 run the ball in the blue and white. A well deserved induction in my humble opinion.
  13. Easy gentlemen, I made a mistake. I had a lapse in brain function and forgot that Gavin is correct in stating that the Chargers and the Colts have played each other since Rivers became a starter. No sense in snipping at each other about it. Besides, when I stated about Rivers and Peyton not having (but actually have) met on the field, of course everyone knows that the rest of both teams where there and had an effect on the outcome. Nothing to start an agrument about. The main point of my post was that Rivers indeed could be an excellent QB if he stopped horsing around and focused on his abilities and allowed himself to excel. The particular sentence that is being tossed around is actually not the most important of my post, so please excuse my error and let's move on. Thanks so much!
  14. Thanks buddy IMO you are right on about Rivers. I've always said if he would grow up and stop trying to be the loud mouth playboy and actually focus on playing football that Rivers could and would be dangerous to any team in his way. He has tons of talent and he has leadership abilities...dude just needs to grow up a bit. You are also right that he has never had to face The General before...wonder what Phillip will do when he is actually playing greatness... ... ... Matt Cassel is a good QB, but I'm with Gavin that I wouldn't count the Cheifs out of the race...but I don't expect them to beat PM and the Broncos though.
  15. Is this gonna be a great weekend or what? The Olympics start tonight and training camp Sunday?!?! I can hardly contain myself ;) Hoping to make it to Anderson Sunday...fingers crossed!

Heck yeah! (and you are right, Colts are first and foremost the most important!)

But I gotta admit that I'm ready to watch Phelps in the Olymic pool kicking some A! Man can that guy swim or what??

    3. BrentMc11
