Dominique Jones is back

Nice, I really liked him. Funny thing is, Dolphins signed our recently cut TE Kyle Miller after cutting Jones and then we signed Jones back, almost a trade.

I'll take Jones over Kyle Miller, thank you.

I don't think this affects Fleener, unless Jones outshines him on Sunday. I just think this is a Depth Move. We have 2 active TE's (Allen & Saunders). So why not get another TE in case (Knock on Wood) one of our 2 Healthy ones go down?

I was more concerned with Fleeners injury. I think this signing has something to do with that. Saunders is more of a blocking TE while Allen and Jones would be more as receiving threats.

Seems like he is Gijon Robinson, version 2, LOL. :)

Yep. But I think when Fleener gets Healthy, he'll go right back to his Spot. I don't think he's in any trouble of losing it. But I hope he is getting Healthy. Not trying to rush back

I thought he was solid when he played. I like him a lot better than Miller.

Now, now, Jones is not quite as bad as the worst TE in the history of the world universe of all time, ever, ever, ever.

If you are comparing how he's on and off the team, like Gijon, I'll allow it.

May not sound too good for Fleener being in the game.

I have liked Jones over Miller but I doubt either would see much game action with Allen & Saunders in the lineup, possibly Fleener.

Sounds to me like an insurance policy signing.

    • Making Sense of the OL
See, I was thinking the other way. Haeg at RG and Clark at RT (eventually). Grigs was enamored by his arm length which is put to best use on the outside, forcing rushers to go around and allowing Luck to step up. Then again I'm not sure what's being said of Haeg as a G prospect, but I feel like Clark would be best served on the outside once he has time to clean things up.
    • Colts player visits
I remember Pagano raving about all of the talent at Clemson.  Hhhmmm.  That was a hint.
    • Colts nearly traded up in the second round
That you did. I keep getting the names of the 3rd and 4th round guys mixed up. Probably would take something from next years draft also but you are correct and I'm wrong.   I think the reason Dallas declined was there were about 10-12 guys that appeared to have very similar value to the bottom part of round 1. Then a pretty good drop off at around pick 15. I'm thinking Grigson did the right thing by trying to trade up and then trading down and getting his guy he liked at 18. Can't ask for more than that.
    • TJ Green: Scouting Proile
That's just it..he may not. I like taking high risk/high reward players (different story in the 1st, where I would be a little more conservative), so I'm not against this pick at all.  I do think Grigson/Pagano is trying to build the best possible team leaning toward upside over risk, because they probably have only 2 years to really make good progress before being reevaluated. This draft was pretty unusual compared to the first 4 drafts.
