I’m not getting my hopes up. Seems like every time (almost) we’re playing decent or good, we go to Jacksonville and suddenly forget how to play football. -

Typical Ballard spinning in circles and doubling down on someone in need of an upgrade. I'm sitting hear watching a couple of analysts talking about how bad the 0-4 Jags are and how Trevor has regressed but the silver lining is that the Colts are up next so he can get back on track. Wow! The 1-4 Titans STINK too both of whom are our next two opponents. Crazy thing is that 8 yrs into the Ballard tenure we're still no closer to being relevant or significant! Bottom feeders and struggling teams with suspect qb play know they have a legit shot against the meh built Ballard teams who now appear to be satisfied with the yearly non contention status that carries a slightly below or at .500 record. Not good enough which has led to the continued lack of prime time games that once were a staple. Teams are flipping their fortunes rather quickly (see Washington as the latest version) while the Colts continue to waddle in quicksand. I hope neither one of the Jag or Titan games come down to the highly paid Matt Gay to win it because it's like throwing a dart at the board blindfolded. -

I agree with you 100%. It is frustrating that AR is unwilling or the coaches are reluctant to force him to slide or give himself up on plays. On the play he was injured he made the 1st down marker so all he has to do was go down. He did not need the extra 5 years. After the game, he said it is just football. That is not a very smart comment. I am hoping that Shane did not put him back in as a "lesson". IE if you are going to run the ball and not slide then you are not going to play. If he does not learn this he will not last. He is too big to be a running back that can avoid big hits in traffic. He cannot put himself in a position where defenders can take running shots at this body. Same with his footwork on passing. When he sets his feet he can make throws that no one else in the league can make. When he is sloppy he misses easy completions. So the coaches need to be more demanding in all of these areas. Right now it all appears to be more mental than physical. -

I guess the practice squad guy couldn’t make enough kicks in practice to stay on the team.
