Week 10:

What a classic. Colts with 2 long drives to start the game, but held to 2 FGs.

Ensuing kickoff forced a fumble. Rookie Blackmon recovered it, but held to a FG again.

9-0

Trade TD's in the 2nd qtr

16-7 halftime score

Tennessee comes out in 3rd qtr scores 2 tds, and a failed 2pt conversion. Colts have FG in between

20-19 Tennessee going into 4th.

Got crazy, traded 2 tds each then Blankenship hit walk off 36yds FG to win game.

Final score Colts 37 - Titans 34

Big road win. 9-0.

Stats to follow in next post.

Started off with a big lead then Burrow through a pick 6 to put them down 24-0 never looked back. Went @EastStreet mode, :hat: and just pounded ball in 2nd half while having time on chew clock to get game over quicker. Culminating to Eason making his NFL debut. Should of been 3-4 but Burton dropped a little dump of pass.

Week 7 is bye week.

6-0

Happy a least a couple people are watching.

I think we'll see several games where we go pass happy then smash. Most will have a great balance though. Just depends on the teams we're playing. Two teams we should absolutely go pass happy on are Detroit and Houston. Their pass Ds are turrrrribul....

Week 11:

Packers

@

Colts

This game got out of hand early. Colts came down and scored TD on first possession, missed extra point. Was a bad omen. Green bay came back and scored 2 pretty uncontested TD's to end 1st qtr

14-6 Packers

Colts came down and I missed a FG next possession. GB capitalizes with 17 more uncontested points. River through INT in the end zone on middle of all this.

31-6 @ halftime.

Left 11pts off the board.(missed FG + XP, INT in endzone).

Colts won the 3rd qtr 17-14. A lot of action in that qtr. Had outscored them 17-7 then Adams had 69yd td to extend back over 20pt lead. His 2nd 40+yd td of qtr.

45-23 going into 4th.

Actually still had a chance in the 4th to get back in it. Through 3 late ints trying to get back in game. 2 in red zone.

Wasn't Colts day, was in the cards from the missed extra point to start game

Rodgers was on fire

Adams had monster game

RB Jones went off to.

Final score Packers 52 - Colts 23

9-1 going into next week.

Week 12:

Titans

@

Colts

Game started off with Mack taking a run 56yds for a TD. After that Titans got a FG, but proved to be their only points of the game.

Game ended how it started Taylor took a run 42yds for TD while I was running out the clock.

Defense had 3 ints, RYS has been lights out this year, outside of Packers game, which no one played well.

Final score Colts 34 - Titans 3

Good bounce back win after last week.

Week 13:

Colts

@

Texans

Another classic divisional road game.

Texans came out and scored with ease on 1st possession. Started having Green Bay flashbacks. Colts came right back and drove deep into Texans territory. Had 4th down decision from the 2yd line. Thought I better take the points. 7-3 Texans

Texanw come right back with 82yd TD pass to Fuller IV.  Rivers throws int and Texans get a FG.

17-3 after 1st qtr.

Things were not looking good. However Colts were driving to end the 1st qtr and struck quickly with a TD pass to Pittman Jr. 17-10 Texans

Rather quiet 2nd qtr after that. Teams trade FGs to end half.

20-13 Texans at halftime.

Colts receive KO to start 2nd half. In what was another quiet qtr. Only points scored was 2 Blankenship FGs.

20-19 Texans after 3rd qtr.

Texans drive deep on Colts territory and get held to FG. 23-19 Texans

Taylor has 11yd td run with 3:45 left in the to take the lead, and top off another great day on the ground for him. 26-23 Colts

Force the Texans into a quick 3 and out. They punt, I end up in FG range and kicked another FG.

29-23 Colts 14 seconds left

Texans through 3 deep passes that got a little dicey towards the end.

Final score Colts 29 - Texans 23

Been some struggles on the road, team has battled though. Even here down 17-3 after 1st qtr. Will be nice to be playing at home in the playoffs probably. Jave to finish strong.

11-1

7-0 Raiders after 1st qtr

Colts strike with a TD at 10:00 mark of 1st qtr to take the lead. Then add a FG towards 2 minute warning. Raiders match FG before halftime. Had a chance to kick FG before halftime but took 1 last shot at endzone and got tackled at 2yd line, then clock expired.

Appreciate the love.

What's your thoughts on the season up till this point?

I'm lovin the video game numbers.  45-3...  Rodgers putting up a 50-burger...:funny:

I'd love to see a defensive struggle, like 14-10, but it's Madden, so probably not gonna happen.  haha

It's lookin like goin at least 12-4 is in the bag.  Playoffs should be interesting!    (Are you gonna post standings/records/seeding?)

Also for anyone watching.

Would be cool to have some interaction with who everyone thinks the playoff seedings will look like.

I've just played all these games in exhibition mode. So is no other team records. Kinda sucks, couldn't do a franchise, because schedule would've been wrong. No player progression. Will definitely be doing 1 like thag, once new Madden comes out.

Go with Colts record on here so far and where you think we will end up.

I will sim playoff matchups outside of mine.

Appreciate everyone checking it out.

See above.

Like I said once madden 2021 comes out, I will do one like last year. Post player progressions league leaders, everything.

This was only way to do actual schedule.

Kinda sucks tallying stats up myself. Lol

2. Colts (14-2)

4. Pats (10-6)

5. Steelers (11-5)

6. Titans (10-6)

Wild Card:

Titans @ Ravens

Steelers @ Pats

I've beat Titans twice. Own tie breaker over Ravens so even if I lose one of last 3 games would still have the 2 seed.

Was hoping to secure the #1 seed as road games have proven a lot tougher.

Hopefully get a couple more seeding list.

What about NFC?

I would say based on some games I played. My seeding would look like this right now.

Like I said would like to get couple more opinions as well. Then put seedings together.

AFC:

1. Chiefs 13-3

2. Colts 13-3(**if I win out can still get 1 seed)

3. Ravens 12-4

4. Bills 10-6

5. Steelers 11-5

6. Texans 9-7(seemed a little better than Titans, guess it depends on this next matchup).

7. Raiders/Pats/Titans

NFC:

1. Saints

2. Packers(whooped me, lol)

3. Seahawks

4. Eagles

5. 49ers

6. Vikings

7. Buccaneers

Week 15:

Texans

@

Colts

After a quick start by the Colts, this became another great divisional game.

Hilton got the Colts on the board late in the 1st qtr. That was followed up by a strip sack from Leonard, recovered by Buckner and ran 30yds for a TD.

14-0 Colts after 1st qtr

Colts add FG in 2nd to extend the lead.  Texans then drove the ball down, on 3rd down, Walker Jr missed sack opportunity Watson who got out of pocket at scored a TD. That was followed by both teams trading FGs to end half.

20-10 Colts at halftime

Colts take almost half of 3rd qtr on opening drive and score a TD to extend lead.  Texans score a FG on next possession.

27-13 Colts after 3rd qtr

Cooks scored a 36yd td at about 10:00 mark of 4th to cut the lead in half. Colts drive down and secure a 31yd FG to extend lead back to 10 with 3:42 left in the game. Texans score a TD with 1:05 left to cut it back to 3. Texans still had all 3 timeouts left though. They try an onside, Colts recovered. Then Colts get a 1st down ending the game.

Final Score Colts 30 - Texans 27

Like I said, turned out to be a great game again. Texans are tough.

Colts 12-2

Stats will be posted in following post.

Week 16:

Colts

@

Steelers

Another classic road game.

Steelers stroke quick in 1st qtr with a 62yd TD. Rather quiet till later in 1st when Campbell caught a TD pass to tie it up.

7-7 after 1st qtr

Defensive 2nd qtr. Hines returned a punt to their 18yd line. That was followed by a fumble by Taylor to not score any points. Steelers kick FG with 4:57 left in qtr. Next drive TY catches TD to take lead at the 2 minute warning. Pittsburgh gets 39yd FG before the half.

14-13 Colts at halftime.

Steelers hold Colts to 3 and out on 1st possession of 2nd half. Then Claypool catches a 33yd TD to take the lead back. They go for 2pt conversion and fail. Following possession Colts come down and Pascal catches TD, Colts go for 2pts and TY catches 2pt conversion. Its good. That is followed by a 63yd TD run by Samuels.

26-22 Steelers after 3rd qtr.

Taylor scores TD at 10:32 mark of the 4th qtr to take the lead back. Next possession Samuels catches a TD 6:53 mark. That was followed by a 15yd TD run by Mack with 2:56 remaining. I make Steelers punt and run some more clock. I end up having to punt Sanchez pins them back on the 5yd line. Then some how, as I call for deep coverage. JuJu gets behind defense for an 89yd TD catch with :57 left in game. I drive down to about 40yd line, no timeouts left. Take a shot to the end zone and its intercepted to end the game.

Tough loss

Final score Steelers 40 - Colts 36

2nd half was a wild ride. Still cant believe JuJu got behind my defense at the end of game. Thought I had it wrapped up 89yds away and Steelers had no timeouts left. :censored:

Week 17:

Jaguars

@

Colts

Jaguars opened the game with with a 37 yd FG at the 7:31 mark. Colts came back next possession to throw a TD pass to TY Hilton with 4:33 left, to take the lead. Jaguars came back quickly with a 35yd TD run by Chris Thompson.

10-7 Jaguars after 1st qtr.

2nd qtr was owned by the Colts. Started qtr off with a great drive capped off by 7yd TD run by Taylor to extend the lead. After a 3 and out, the Colts have a drive down to the 2yd line. 4th and goal. Decided to go for it was denied. Quick 3 and out had Jaguars punting out of end zone. Had good field position, ended up taking a 33yd FG with :51 left in half. Jaguars try and make something happen and throw an interception. Colts end up kicking 46yd FG as time expired to extend halftime lead. Colts had the ball most of quarter.

20-10 Colts at halftime.

3rd quarter was a defensive struggle couple drives both ways. Teams exchange FGs.

23-13 Colts after 3rd qtr

Was at a dilemma right here, as I had 2 seed wrapped up. Thought about getting Eason a little more action. Especially after I scored TD 10:17 mark on pass Pittman Jr.

Turns out rrally wasnt given the choice as Jaguars scored quick. Then a 3 and out trying to milk the clock. Jaguars scored again at the 2 minute warning to cut the lead to 30-27. They kicked deep and Colts were able to get a couple 1st downs to end the game.

Final score Colts 30 - Jaguars 27

Colts final record is 13-3.

Will post game stats in the next post.

2020 Regular Season Passing stats.

Phillip Rivers played great all year. I would say at least 4-5 of those Int's came at the end of the games, when I was trying to make something happen. Completed 70% of his passes.

Wish I could of gave Eason more time, but most of my games were still undecided in the 4th quarter.

I had a play call percentage of:

44% - Pass

56% - Rush

I'm sure we will have more attempts and yards in real life, but I think the TD numbers and INT numbers will be around there.

Taylor started off the year a little slow, but as time went on, he got comfortable and eventually took over the #1 spot. Taylor was big RB, that's why he ended up with more TDs. Crazy thing about Taylor is he is huge and legit same speed as Hines. Scary thoughts for opposing defenses.

Mack played great all year as well. If we didn't have a talented back like Taylor with him, he probably would of been pushing 2,000yds. Lol. Would of probably had a way different Pass vs Run scenario too.

I had a play call percentage of:

44% - Pass

56% - Rush

As I said in QB post. Most likely we will have more pass attempts and less run attempts in real life. Should be a fun year to see what this tandem does.

Outside of Hilton the ball was spread pretty equally throughout our targets. There was quite a few drops throughout the year, wish I would of kept track of them, but whatever. Campbell was more consistent in regards to him and Pittman Jr. They both played well though.

RB receptions were dominated by Hines, as it should be. When Pascal came in, he always seemed to make the play that was thrown to him.

Doyle and Burton was a solid TE combo. I would say Burton probably led the team in drops.

Pass vs Run%

Pass - 44%

Run - 56%

As I've stated in the 2 above groups. I expect these %'s to be closer, increasing receptions, yards and TDs with this group. Overall though I think numbers are pretty good and well spread out.

What can we say here?

Nelson was dominate 61 pancakes, while allowing 0 sacks. :woah:

Allowed probably close to 30 sacks, as all wasn't given to an OL.

Quite a few sacks were my fault as well, holding on to ball to long.

All this talk about sacks, when they cleared the way for (2) 1,300yd+ RBs. :funny:

I think we can all agree, this line is going to have a big year.

If anyone would be happy with a 56% Run vs 44% Pass, it would be these guys.

Can't believe there wasn't any reserve stats on the DL. That's ok for this purpose I guess.

Overall thoughts.

Buckner was a beast on the interior line. All kinds of disruption.

Other Sack numbers wasn't very high, but we had a ton of tackles for loss.

Houston led the way with 17. We lived in other teams backfields.

26 sacks along the DL, hopefully we have more in real life.

49 tackles for loss is pretty outstanding. Our Run defense was very good for the most part. Couple big games in there, but they held their own.

Leonard and Okereke were my nickel down LBs, so they got the most action.

They both produced, seemed to feed off each other out there. Run defense was much better when we were in base defense and Walker Jr was on the field to. Nickel formation is the way of the future.

Like our DL, our Lbs lived in the back field also. Sacks, Ints they did it all.

I suspect Leonard's numbers will be even better in real life, and they were pretty good here.

RYS had a big year 94tkls 7 interceptions 8tfl 1td, he was everywhere.

Rhodes didn't haver big int numbers but like RYS had a lot of plays made in the backfield. Knocked away his share of passes.

Moore II played great in the slot, doong a lottle bot of everything. Carrie came in and made some plays on dime and dollar packages.

S's:

Hooker and Willis had good years, would like to see some more ints for Hooker, but he disrupted a lot of passes in his zone. Odum made a few plays when he was on the field. Blackmon didn't get much PT on defensive side, that was mostly SPT production.

Overall, the secondary played well for the most part. They did have their moments of getting burned. Probably bla.e that on play calling though.

Would of been good for 18th best season in history, if he was able to do this. I actually think he can do better, of given the opportunity to be both KR/PR.

Will be interesting to see if he is able to put up some numbers like this, this year.

Ok so this is what I am leaning towards on playoff seedings. Will probably start post season action tomorrow, so would love to hear feedback on seedings. Definitely final regular season stats and breakdown.

Playoff seedings:

AFC:

1. Chiefs 13-3(win tie breaker on conference record)

2. Colts 13-3

3. Ravens 12-4

4. Bills 10-6

5. Steelers 11-5

6. Raiders 9-7

7. Patriots 9-7

Wild Card matchups:

7. Patriots @ 2.Colts

6. Raiders @ 3. Ravens

5. Steelers @ 4. Bills

NFC:

1. Packers 13-3

2. Saints 12-4

3. Seahawks 11-5

4. Eagles 9-7

5. 49ers 10-6

6. Vikings 10-6

7. Buccaneers 9-7

Wild Card matchups:

7. Bucs @ 2. Saints

6. Vikings @ 3. Seahawks

5. 49ers @ 4. Eagles

**Notes

All 3 teams I lost to made the playoffs.

I swept Titans and Texans, so both of them just miss out on the playoffs. Tbh, would just rather play a new team instead of 3rd game against either of them. Packers trashed me, so I'm giving them the 1 seed in the NFC.

Colts get to host Patriots WC round

Brees vs Brady WC round matchup

Thoughts?

    • This is true. But even once AR started throwing downfield more (comeback against LAR and TEN game), AP still only had one downfield target. With AD here and Downs coming into year 2, I just don't see a huge bump for AP coming.
    • I think AD can win on the nine routes well enough to be that deep threat (he's got the long speed), but more importantly, he also can win on all the routes where AP really hasn't (AD really shined in the RZ too at Texas).   I think he will be a RZ threat right away and can be a really solid WR2 (assuming he becomes a willing blocker and the effort stuff is behind him). Don't know if he will ever a YAC machine though.   Does Harmon mean that his evaluation of AP coming out of college was similar to the "DK can only run nine routes and can't move laterally" evaluation? I don't entirely remember DK's evaluation, but I recall it sounding something like that.
    • Lawrence Owen recently said that Brandon Aiyuk is a "system WR who wouldn't put up 700 yards on 90% of NFL teams." He's about as untrusty of a narrator as you can possibly get. And like us watching at home, he is not privy to the route calls, the playcalls, the reads, etc.    But I watched the video. AP had a great game. However, Lawrence is driving this narrative with this one game against arguably the worst pass defense in the NFL last year. Fulton (#26), who was on AP much of this game, was especially bad last year, registering a 46 PFF grade.     They had mismatches all over coming into the game and they exploited it from the beginning, hence AP's involvement. It's really not any deeper than that. This game was a complete outlier from any other game too, as far as production.       So Minshew held back the whole team, but benefited MPJ and Downs?    If AP was getting open all the time and it was "like this every game", he wouldn't have ended up #124 in win route rate or #110 in avg. separation (min. 45 tgts). The people who watch every game and the tools that track these stats don't support this idea.   As someone said earlier, targets are earned. Minshew is executing the offense, but Steichen is the calling the plays and assigning reads in the RPO. So why wasn't Steichen dialing up more plays after this TEN game? Minshew made the throws in this game, so clearly he can make the throws.   And even with AR, who we know can make all the throws, they were hardly dialing up plays for AP either.   With the drafting of AD, it speaks volumes about who is holding back AP.
    • It’s gotta be one of those two or Laiatu.  I guess I’d say Odunze, since TE didn’t end up being a position we hit at all, so there’s no proof CB considered it a need.  However, that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t trade up for a unique talent (Bowers) for whom we have a “plan”…
    • Does it mean anything to you that Kwity had 2 less sacks than $170M Joey Bosey? Bosa played 180 more snaps. Kwity did a great job playing his edge, the run, and covering his flat. He also got his breather on a lot of 3rd downs because... we were developing Dayo and had Lewis who was very effective in rotation on limited snaps.
