Awesome! Kentucky just keeps coasting like I said.

Definitely good for Kentucky IMO. I was actually worried about playing Arizona because I don't think we matched up well with them. Buffalo runs an up tempo offense and Kentucky is really good going up tempo. Much more winnable game for us I think.

That said, Buffalo is dang good so Kentucky will need to bring it. That was definitely a heck of a game from Buffalo last night.

I wouldn’t bet on it. Buffalo could win, they look pretty good

Yup Buffalo is certainly impressive. Coach Cal ain't gonna overlook em though so I bet UK gives a much better effort than Zona did. It should be a fun game as both teams play close to a similar style.

Hass out for the rest of the Tourney! Fractured elbow. Really Bad news for Purdue. I am not sure they beat Butler without him?? That would hurt my bracket bigtime if they lose Sunday.

SON OF A BISQUIT!!!!!!! Terrible way for him to end his college career!!!!:wall: Poor dude! And why was he even out there anymore??? They were already smokin Cal, not sure why most there starters were out there so late in the game with such a lead? I just don’t get Painter sometimes :nono:  Time for Haarms to step up, Butler is ALWAYS a challenge!!!!!

Virginia is tied with a 16 seed at halftime.

Wow. Tied at halftime and they end up losing by 20! That's terrible.

I used to love March Madness. I stopped following college basketball after the conferences, especially the Big East, started changing (conference realignment). But I love upsets. I hope they continue.

That was 1 reason why I had KY going to the Final 4. I never thought Virginia was that great. I didn't think they would lose to UMBC but I had faith in KY if those 2 were to play. KY has to be careful with Buffalo, that is a game they should win but Buffalo smoked Arizona.

Virginia just never has a good offense. In some ways last night was probably a fluke and if they played a 7 game series Virginia would probably win, its still a stunning loss. One of the biggest upsets in sports history. Its right up there with App. State beating Michigan in football years back.

That's why I love college basketball. The best team doesn't normally win the championship because anything can happen in a one game scenario.

Me too. I love it. One of my favorites was the Valparaiso upset years ago when Bryce Drew made that last minute shot to beat Ole Miss.

My alma mater is a member of the America East, the conference that UMBC is from. I will be rooting for them and for Buffalo. This is exciting. :)

I am a fan of Notre Dame, which is in the ACC when it comes to B-ball. And Virginia's defense was great, but if you could play defense and give theirs trouble, you had a great shot at beating them. Also Notre Dame looking to be NIT champs! (better than what Virginia did :)

    • I think the bolded is my biggest concern, with Steichen at the top of the list.  A rookie HC that wants to call his own offensive plays.  Hmm...seen that movie before and didn't like it.  I'm hoping the same result doesn't play out again.   He also has a rookie QB that he's going to want to talk to after some series during the game.  I'm hoping he'll lean heavy on Cam & Cooter during the games and not call his own plays.   I would love to see us make the playoffs this year. It would give the whole team and organization a huge boost.  Not seeing it this year because key elements are too young and inexperienced, but I'm not saying it's impossible.
    • Depth move that needed to happen at some point.
    • https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/06/01/colts-sign-genard-avery-waive-darius-hagans/   ...Avery spent last season with the Buccaneers, appearing in nine games. He finished with a sack, one tackle for loss, and five QB hits in 72 defensive snaps and 164 special teams snaps. Avery was a fifth-round pick by the Browns in 2018. He recorded 4.5 sacks as a rookie but fell out of favor under Cleveland’s next coaching staff and was traded to the Eagles midway through the 2019 season. He played with Philadelphia through 2021, recording 3.0 sacks in 35 games with the Eagles. While he signed with the Steelers as a free agent in March 2022, he was released in August. As a corresponding roster move, the Colts waived running back Darius Hagans...
    • Playoffs? Maybe. But can we block?
    • We could  if everything goes well. I'm optimistic abut Richardson, but am not thinking playoffs this early. The season hasn't started and there is no way to tell what will happen. I've been let down when people were hyping Wentz and Ryan, so I'm trying not to get overly excited regarding playoffs.
