Luck just is having his second best year of his career. Luck is not the problem.

Oh yea, nice..Your the type that rather lose but have great stats.

I'd rather have the guy that has mediocre stats but finds a way to win

If I could only fire one it would be Grigson. Players seem to love playing for Chuck. Chuck can only Coach the players that are given to him. Yes he has Andrew Luck which almost assures anyone of not having a losing season (we will probably finish 8-8) but our Defensive talent for the most part is terrible and our O.Line is young. Didn't Reggie Wayne criticize Grigson as well on the NFL Network but had nothing bad to say about Chuck. Reggie was one of our leaders and a Great player around these guys everyday, so right there tells me a lot. I voted Grigson but I can see most voted Chuck. Truth be told, it wouldn't bother me if we replaced both. It said choose 1 though. After losing to Houston here I am game for anything to improve the team.

I think that is a main part of his problem.   He's not there to be there friends.   Well, I should say he shouldn't be there to be their friend.   He's got the Marvin Lewis problem going.

Oh you are the type of troll that blames Luck for everything even when he does his best to get us the win then the cruddy defense gives the game away.

Nope, very wrong.

Luck is good and will only get better. But he is not excused from the issues the Colts have.

No one said he is you act like it's his fault we didn't win. The games we did win were 100% because of him. When he does his job and then the D gives up the lead the loss isn't on him.

He can shoulder some blame.   But we all know that without him, the Colts would be 2-14 this year.    A crappy defense, a crappy O-line, a crappy coach, a crappy bench.    That equals a crappy team.

A bad coach will screw up your team for a season. A bad GM will screw up your team for the next three to five years. It takes time to build a team through the draft, and the Colts are still suffering from all the bad decisions that Grigson has made since he arrived in Indy. They'll still be paying the price for that three years from now. With the draft and free agency coming up again soon, they simply can't afford to have Grigson drive the bus off the cliff one more time.

Hmm. Why do you include T-Rich on this list as a failed player-in-return-for pick but leave out Vontae Davis (2013 2nd rd pick trade?) Grigson's record isn't stellar to begin with and doesn't require further distortion.

I think 90%+ of true-blue Colts fans recognize that the time has come for both to be let go. I agree with that opinion wholeheartedly. It's clear to me, though, that if I had to make a choice that Pagano is the most deserving of a pink slip.

My reasons why:

1) This team consistently comes out unprepared for big games

2) Team shows up late in games (often a 2nd half-team) with little done in the 1st qtr

3) Team now tends to fail in the clutch often due to coaching (unlike early years when Luck would save the day)

4) Is one of the most penalized teams in the league

5) Really questionable play-calling and time management decisions at big moments

6) Shows very little progress in terms of player development, especially with defensive players- Pagano's strength.

7) Team isn't any better despite Chuck having free rein to pick his current coaches

8) Defensive performance, coaching scheme and play-calling is one of the worst in the league, despite Pagano's supposed strength here.

Pagano defenders consistently refer to a lack of talent as the reason why he hasn't done well. No one can debate that Indy's talent is lacking. However, good coaches maximize the talent they have - developing it, utliizing schemes that put those players in positions to succeed, prepare the teams mentally and physically to perform, and then sufficiently motivate those players to do their best on game-day. Pagano's teams simply have been shown to be lacking in this area.

Chuck Pagano is a great man, without a doubt. He and Tony Dungy may be the classiest and most inspiring coaches that Indianapolis has seen. Being a great man doesn't make Chuck Pagano a good head coach though. Players may love the guy, but clearly they don't perform their best for him. And while Indy's public and media may love Chuck's personal story and what he stands for, that shouldn't cloud their view on his performance as a coach. It's simply time for a change.
