Well they needed to do something to put the blame of their poor play somewhere so this isn't a surprise IMO.

Yup, that's exactly what I think as well in regards to Marrone...but I still scratch my head why he quit Buffalo so abruptly.

He probably turned it down. Taking over that squad wouldn't exactly be a resume builder.
