Was yesterday lucks first. 5 td day?

I thought I heard the announcer say that yesterday was lucks first 5td day. To me that is crazy. The fact the guy will probably have over 40td passes this year and to only throw 5td once is amazing. I'm starting to really see what kind of amazing talent luck is. He doesn't wow you with one thing but the dude is sooooo consistent. You can almost count on him throwing 2 or 3 td a game and 300 yards. I think that is how his game is too. He's really good at almost every thing you can judge a qb on. There are people who may be better at some of those things but almost all have a Few things that aren't great. Like manning. He was great at almost everything but wasn't the most athletic. I'm loving this young core of offensive players we got in order of importance in my opinion. Luck, hilton, allen, fleener, moncreif,, and maybe boom if he can get rid of the fumbles. The future looks really bright in Indy.

Absolutely right on this. Luck will throw an INT on average a game, (which is annoying sometimes, I'll admit), but he will always do his best to carry this offense and have big game after big game. Today was another example that he doesn't have to do the usual game of throwing 40+ times a game and can beat you with deep passes instead. If we get him a running game, we may have a chance to be a super bowl contender just based on our offense alone. Moncrief was incredible yesterday and showed he should of been starting over Nicks from day 1. Fleener has broken out and shown he can be counted on as well. We know what we have from Allen and Hilton as well. This is why building through the draft is so important, so you can lock a group of young players like this up for their whole careers and have that chemistry together. We would never get a TY Hilton or Donte Moncrief for 10+ years through Free Agency, it just doesn't happen. They have to be homegrown talent. Grigson understands this, and that's why we will win a Superbowl sooner rather than later.

I wouldn't say it's certain, but extremely likely.

Also he needs to average nearly 367 yards per game over the last 4 to break the record.

That's a lot of yards.  It means we'll be in shootouts for every game, which is possible the way our D plays.

I'm hoping that by the last game we'll have things wrapped up, and the game wrapped up in the first half.  And we see Tipton and MH on the field.

with outdoor games in Cleveland and Tennessee thst might be harder than it sounds but on the other hand he has the Browns, Texans, Cowboys, and Titans D's left to do it against, two of which he's already torched this season and the other two don't exactly strike fear into your heart.

247 YPG, I think it would be suprising if he averages below that in these 4 remaining games.

how many games has Luck not thrown an INT?  just curious since someone brought up that he pretty much throws one every game.  I should look it up but I'm being lazy.

I'll bite and give you a little more data, because your post made me curious.

2012 (16 games): 18 INT in 10 games; 23 pass TD in 13 games. 627 attempts = 2.9% INT percentage; and 3.6% TD percentage.

2013 (16 games): 9 INT in 7 games; 23 pass TD in 12 games. 570 attempts and 1.6% INT percentage; and 4% TD percentage.

2014 YTD: 11 INT in 8 games; 34 TD in 12 games. 491 attempts and 2.2%INT percentage; and 6.9% TD percentage.

The jump during this year is drastic, and there's other data that back that up (such as plays of 20+ yards, etc.). I'll take a low 2 INT % for a TD % at almost 7.

Aaron Rodgers is the only current QB with a INT % below 2 and a TD % above 6.

If you throw the ball as much as he does the odds are there will be a few hiccups, but again a lot of his picks are on passes that are batted in the air either by the defense pushing the o-line back... or our own receivers trying to make catches. It happens.

    • The Colts handed Taylor a boat load of money which is unheard for a running back in today’s NFL.  You don’t do that and take him off the field in crucial situations for Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson.  Shane has done just that in two of the last three games he’s coached.  Not playing maybe your best offensive weapon for a whole fourth quarter is criminal.  Shane is trying to be too cute and over thinking things trying to fool other teams and it’s not working in the slightest.  Play your best players at the most critical points of games.  That’s why you paid them.
    • People come up with the strangest over reactions ever when the Colts lose.
    • I agree 100 Ballard time is up , him and Bradley. You can preach accountability and retain Bradley another year….Ballard loves to say guys just need to hit the layup… he should take his own advice we all knew we needed help in the secondary this year no moves, we all knew we needed help last year at corner , oline year before. I talking about obvious weaknesses media calls him out on it year after year and he plays it off like he smarter than everyone then admit mistakes at the end of year and does the same thing. Bradley doesn’t make any adjustment like he runs what he runs and that it
    • To be honest this is malpractice by Ballard ….. like I know they think us fans are stupid but some of us played sports , coached sports , watched sports etc… we know what we are seeing like everyone knew we needed depth in the second. But Ballard doesn’t bring vets in and makes guys compete for a job he hands them to players he thinks are nice people a deserve a shot. Ala Pinter, NFL is a league where you get what you earn ,you eat what you kill , not what you deserve. Ballard need to take a hard look at him self at look at how other teams that win are built. We need speed at the corner position and a scheme shift. Like no HC under Ballard has been able to pick they DC he normally has one before they get hired and they retain Ballard guy
