Congratulations to TY on the birth of his baby girl.

He gave her the game ball. The touchdown celebration was awesome. I could not understand what he said through the tears, but loved seeing the emotion during his postgame interview.

NFL.com is asking people with Twitter accounts to name Hilton's touchdown. I don't tweet, but my suggestion would be Touchdown Baby.

Congrats on the birth of your daughter, and a 1,000 yard season.

I just realized something. . . the refs let him get away with one there.  Maybe they knew the story and decided they would over look this one.

But correct me if I'm wrong but I think if you use the ball as a prop in a celebration it's an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

Very cool to see T.Y. get chocked up there, and the move is getting a lot of press. I woke up to see CNN stations talking about how needed it was after what all the bad stuff that happened this year. Then they went right back to the usual crap about fights and missing planes.

The strange thing is when I watched the Colts game an hour later on my DVR so I can fast forward through commercials I had no idea what to make of that TD celebration until I was informed what that display meant by the TV broadcasters since I had no idea his wife was expecting to give birth to their 1st child.

However, once I knew what TY was so overjoyed about, I was happy for him. Happy Fatherhood man! Congratulations Mr. Hilton.

You are correct V-2004. Technically, that is accurate, but no referee or league official is gonna call that without looking like a complete jack caboose. The birth of a player's 1st kid is worth a pass on the letter of the law.

Something tells me that the refs were well aware of the circumstances surrounding the celebration, and T.Y. didn't make a huge spectacle out of the whole thing. It was just a good moment for a proud young man as well as his family. We could use more stuff like this.

Well she isn't their first child.  She's their first Daughter.

    • This happens every single year and every single year people worry about the occasional unsigned rookie when we haven't even gotten into June yet.   Guys/gals... it's really a big nothing burger. Ever since the NFL introduced rookie scale contracts this has been a non-issue. Everything important in those contracts has been made non-negotiable. The negotiable things are largely minutiae - it's about schedule of payment...it's about off-set language, or language about voiding salary payments(for example - can the team void payments for suspensions and stuff like that), etc.   There are two cases I remember in the last 10 years where this has become a problem and the player has actually missed training camp practices because of it - Joey Bosa(because of schedule of payments dispute) and Roquan Smith(because of dispute about the language about voiding payments for suspensions because of play). And as you see... Both of those were top 10 picks. (i.e. more money on the line)...   Holdouts/holdins of day 2 and day 3 picks are pretty much unheard of. I personally couldn't find a single case when I looked for it.    AD seems to be taking part in both rookie mini camp and in OTAs and hasn't missed any practice, we haven't heard about any sort of dispute so far, so my assumption would be there is nothing to see here and it's all formality.    So yeah... Unless we hear there is a problem I would just assume everything is good.
    • I was referring to the images on the colts website
    • Said to be 6’1” and 235.    Good size but not exactly huge.
    • We did beat the Knicks 4 out of 5. So we have shown signs of playing consistent but Boston is better than the Knicks. Game 2 can't get here quick enough. We have a young team and as a group have never been this far. Silly mistakes are going to happen. This is Tatum and Brown's 6th time together in the Final 4. That experience helps + having a guy like Horford who is 100 years old, has seen it all really helps them.
